Firstly I wanted to say thanks to the few of you who have started really interesting discussions - I've been in and out of here all day and constantly checking in each time I see one of them has been updated, it's been an absolute pleasure to see that some people can still hold civilised discussions even with totally opposing view points (Okay yes there are still the odd pain in the butt people that post irrelevant or rude responses etc. but I'm ignoring them for the moment)
I also wanna :-P to those same people because I've basically spent my whole time here reading those rather than responding to others or trying to come up with my own discussion topics :-)
And for those of you who, like me, are sick of those pointless coke/pepsi, am I pretty type things remember that hidden amongst the crap you will find a gem or two :-) but surely there could be a better way to make these topics more visible - I know there's the hop topics and top discussion things, but unless I'm missing something they're based on how many responses rather than the quality of the response or how many comments a response receives (I could be wrong)
Anway thanks to those of you who've kept me amused and informed on a variety of different topics :-)

MyLot is getting a bit better with weeding out the crap, but they still have a long way to go. I mean all one has to do is look at the majority of discussions and responses given by many who make it to the "top users list" and you see that myLot still has their work cut out for them.
However, it is becoming easier to find the diamonds in the rough--with respect to quality discussions. What I do now is add those people to my friends list, because I know I can count on a steady flow of quality discussions that engage me, instead of the frivolous polls and surveys, or the plagiarized and copyright infringed ones.

Great picture of your kitten :-)
And you're right, I may not have them added to my friends lists but after awhile you get to recognise the names of people who offer quality discussions - if I come across a good response or comment I often dip into the persons profile and see what discussions they've started etc

You are so right and i would give a + for that discussion
thats some sense i mean you do expect to take interest in replying to topics that have some quality content
You will take enthusiasm in such topics by participating

I find that I often don't reply to those discussions, sometimes it's because there's already plenty of responses and what I would have said has already been mentioned, and sometimes it's because it's on a topic that I know nothing about or wouldn't normally think I'd find interesting (yet I spend half an hour reading through all the responses :-) ) But I do enjoy reading them and seeing other's points of view.

I am on here just about every day unless i am in bed sick or working hard on a school prpject. I always try to start good discussions or discussions on topics that matter. Though I will admit to the occasional flub. Like what type of undies do you prefer? but on the whole I have posted and responded to some great topics and discussions. I also always try to respond to every post to my topics.

yes i agree its great when there are Good Discussions that we can post to.. sometimes i read alot of discussions and i say i am going to post.. But I either don't relate to the discussions or basically pointless and i really have nothing to say so i was told if you have nothing nice to say or nothing to say at all don't say anyting at all.

Very true - I often find though that I sit and read a long discussion - take in everyone's opinion, enjoy what people have to say and then close it without adding my own thoughts :) whether it's just because I figure everything's already been said or it's on a topic I'd known nothing about before opening it etc I don't know - I just know I've enjoyed reading it :)

I couldn't agree with you more. If you are willing to wade through the drivel, you can come up with some interesting stuff posted by some intelligent beings.... I think I might give that random selection method of yours a try.

I think that would be a great idea - something along the lines of best rated or most comments - it seems to me that often those good discussions (and what I consider good I know others may not) are the ones that have a lot more comments per response as opposed to just responses.

I've noticed it's so much nicer getting on here now. I can actually scroll through and find decent discussions a lot easier. It's great not having to sift through the what color are your eyes, do you like crunchy or creamy peanut butter lol. I was getting so frustrated before trying to find something to respond to.
Cheers mate!!

I find the discussions here very interesting becoz I get an opportunity to learn from the world community as a whole. Yes some responses are rude and some are worth pondering. Over all I am happy with this site. I must thank the Mylot team for creating this platform. My good wishes to all members of Mylot family for NEW Year.

I dont remeber that i have asked any stupid thing like coke pepsi...coze these are not the topics for discussion...sometimes i feel half the people doesnt know the meaning of debate or discussion when we start a topic we get one word or one line answers that shows that they dont want to discuss but they are telling their personal opinion

i try and think of good quality posts to start discussions as it is a waist of time with short yes or no answer discussions in my view
i actually enjoy typing, i looked into those typing jobs on net (supposable get paid per item you type buy obviously a scam as you have to pay £40 to be trained over the net)
