A best friend will stand by you no matter what you are going through, will listen to you no matter what their opinion is about the subject and will always care for you no matter what you do in life

For me who can be trusted. If there is no trust then there is nothing.

To me a best friend is someone who you share a deeper level of a connection with. Who also is there whenever you need them. Someone who you can trust in your darkest hour. They give you strength when you are weak.. They encourage you when you feel like giving up. But at the same time a best friend is someone loves you for who you are no matter what. Loves you despite your flaws, accepts who you are all around. You can be yourself around them at all times without having to worry whether or not they are going to be judging you. Someone who you feel you can look anyway you'd like around without them judging you just based upon your appearance. Someone who never lets you down in the walk of life, & if they are to.. They make up for it & show you that they are willing to do this until you believe in them again.. There willing to do all in there power to earn your trust back! To me a best friend is also.. Someone who is willing to support you through the good, but also the bad at the same time. They aren't going to bail when things in your life aren't going as good as they could be. There willing to stand there beside you while holding your hand & letting you know that they are here if you need them. This can also mean your spouse, your husband, your boyfriend.. etc.. For me the person who is my best friend is my spouse. He is always there to support me, he is always there to lift me up when I am feeling down.. He's been there for me since the beginning.. Through thick & thin. And instead of leaving me on my own to deal with things.. He instead stood by me each step of the way.. And we went through the obstacle that I may have been facing at that point in my life.. Together. I have never had someone do something like that before until I met him.. I love how sometimes we can just sit there in silence.. We don't need to say a word because sometimes.. We don't need to say anything to each other because we already no what the other is going to say.. Or how the other is feeling.. To me a best friend loves you unconditionally & is willing to stand by you no matter what may come your way.. A friend in need is a friend in deed. I think it's obvious, that best friend is always help us right in the time we need a help, even when we don't ask it. Best friend always know the time when he/she have to help us. And best friend is always there to cheer us up, right in the time when we feeling down

I think a best friend is one who is familiar with your personality.Someone who shares your likes and dislikes,interests,persuits and passion. I beleive a genuine friend has a shared sense of caring and concern, a desire for you to grow and develop, and a hope for you to succeed in all aspects of life. A true friend acts by doing SOMETHING for someone else without expecting anything in return,shares thoughts and feelings without fear of being judged or negatively criticised. Trust is essential to true friendship.We all need someone with whom we can share our lives,thoughts,feelings and frustrations.We need to be able to share our deepest secrets with someone without fear of betrayal because we trust them...thats a true friend to me. To sum it up...a best friend in my opinion is one who overlooks faults,is truthful,loves for love's sake and looks at the heart instead of the packaging as most people tend to do.

who is best friend? best friend is a she or he that truly understands you inside and out. Both of you might not always have the same perspective on things but best friend respects your opinion and you're both cool with that. best friend is there thru thick and thin, happy or not. best friend is a someone that is hard to find but once found is a true gem to be kept. :)

best friend for me is the person that take you as you not buts attached. best friend don't change you the way they wanted you to be but tolerate your doing with care and advices.

You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you. Friends come and go but enemies accumulate. It is getting too bad with the friendship.

I agree. I would add loyalty to the list. I think of a friend as someone who laughs with you and cries with you. So many people today leave their friends when they are going through hard times or get jealous when they are going through really good times.

A persons best friend is always the spouse whom you can trust to be with you at the hour of need. Next comes the real friend who cares for you and is there to help you physically and financially without expecting anything in return. However a persons's friendship can be counted by the way he/she behaves with others.
