Is Anyone Else Addicted to MyPoints?

Does anyone here use the MyPoints program for shopping online? If you don't know what it is, it is where you get points for shopping online, which can be redeemed for gift cards.
Personally, I am addicted to it. I have been finding ways to buy stuff online just so I can get points. I am close to getting my third gift card from there. I feel silly sometimes, because I am not only comparing prices of products, but also how many points I could get from making my purchase at one store, instead of the other.
It is just me or does anyone else do this. Also, if you aren't signed up for MyPoints, you may want to think about doing so. It is really neat. Their website is www.mypoints.com. It isn't a referral link, just a traditonal link.

I've belonged to MyPoints for probably about 6+ years now. I have earned all kinds of gift cards to various stores, restaurants, and sites. I love it. It is easy to use and you always get your gift cards in a timely manner. Right now I am saving up points for a Barnes and Noble gift card-$50. Can't wait to spend that baby.

I read from their websites, which is located at www.MyPoints.com, under their FAQ's that the program is only for residents of USA and Canada.

creativedreamweaver - Wow, six years! I didn't even know that the MyPoints site has been around for that long. I agree, it is so easy to use. Like you said, you do get your gift cards in a pretty timely matter. The first one that I got I was actually surprised when I got it because it came quicker than I thought it would. Good luck on the barnes and noble gift card!
Thank you for your response.

I have been a memeber of MyPoints for quite some time. I have gotten many gift cards from them. But I only get points from visiting websites. I once signed up to a DVD club just so I could get some points. I haven't done any other shopping from them yet.

Thanks for your response. I got my first $25 gift card just from doing the emails. For a long time, I was kind of afraid to shop online, but I got over my fear and now I am kind of addicted to doing my shopping online, just to get points for MyPoints.
Once again, thanks for your response.

I only signed up for my mypoints account 3 weeks ago but have to say that I am on there daily trying to see how I can accumulate more points. I was very surprised to find that they had a lot of ways to make extra points that did not cost anything at all. I make sure that I at least open every email everyday also. I almost have enough points for the first gift card that I have picked out. I am now really excitted after reading your article and know that it is real.

Thanks for your response. I did the same thing for a while; I just read the emails. I ended up with one gift card that way and I finally got brave, not too long before Christmas, and decided to give online shopping a try.

Do they pay cash or they just give away points which doesn't add to our kitty.

They give away points which you cash in for gift cards, I see these almost like cash. Especially when you are talking wal mart or some other store like that. I know that I shop enough at these places to consider it the same as cash.

As the above poster mentioned, they do give you points, which can be redeemed for gift cards. I do agree that they can sometimes be like cash. It all depends on where you choose to have your gift card from and what store it is to.

I haven't used mypoints yet but hear people talk about it all the time. I am just curious if you have to buy certain things or can it just be a specific store online. I am not sure what all has to be done but i'll make sure to check it out.

You will definetly want to check it out. I think that there are around one hundred differnt stores that you can shop at and get points from. Some of the stores are ones that I use quite a bit, like Old Navy, Target, Barnes and Noble, and I also believe that Kmart is one of the stores. There are also other ways that you can earn points too, that is what I like about the site the most.
Anyways, thank you for responding to my post!

I love MyPoints. I started last year around this time of year. I saved all my points and this year I got two $10.00 gift cards that I used to buy Christmas gifts. I didn't ever shop once through their site either. I did sign up for a few easy programs that didn't cost me anything and filled out every little easy survey to get up to 50 extra points. This year it seems like they are sending a lot more emails to read. Great site.

I agree, it is a great help durning Christmas time. I actually didn't use any of the gift cards for Christmas, but i did do most of my Christmas shopping online. This has allowed me to accumlate quite a few points. I am planning on redeeming them soon, for a larger gift card than I got before.

I am also a member of Mypoints. I like it ok but I think MemoLink is better. Here is the link a(non referal) www.memolink.com If someone would like a referal link just send me a message.
MemoLink is limited to US residents only. I just checked to be sure. I'ts a fun place though you can play trivia and lotto for points also.

I didn't have good luck with MemoLink, I've been a member for over 3 years and earned gift cards ... but I have NEVER received the cards. I contacted MemoLink and they replied that my 2 gift cards were on the way ... that was 2 years ago ... go figure LOL. I personally have an outstanding experience with MyPoints ;-)

Well....I wouldn't say exactly addicted, but I do love the site. I keep yelling at my husband because he forgets to log in to mypoints before he buys things on ebay. 4 points per dollar spent on ebay. My husband's Christmas present this year included two gift certificates--one from mypoints and one from epoll.com.

That is so funny, but true. I just recenetly started shopping online. I don't really know why, but I was afraid to do so. I had been with MyPoints for about a year at that point, but I mostly got my points from the email. The first purchase I made online was my new laptop and I got it from Dell. Anyways, you can get points through Dell and I forgot to sign into my account! I could have had almost three thousand points just from purhcasing my laptop! I was mad at myself for days!
Also, Thank you for your response.

NO I am not addicted to MyPoints. I love the idea but I went further. I take the cash. There are programs that allow you to earn the cash for the same things, so I don't bother with mypoints anymore. The link is in my profile page if you want to take a look. I make about $500 a month.
