now im not a huge fan of new years resolutions, only becuase i tend to not keeping up with them, i think that when you make a decision in your life in general, you should do it when you decide and not wait for a time.. ive always been like "the time to act is NOW" kinda person.. but i still carry on SOME sort of resolution, this year for me its to learn more about myself and grow as a person.. i know that sounds weird, but i mean create a steady rate of growth in all areas of my life.. my family, my relationships with my husband and friends, my children and better problem solving skills.. i want to try to be less angry at the "little things" and spend more time enjoying life vs. fighting it, or overanalyzing it! what do you want!.. think of one now, if you havent already! theres gotta be something you want to change about yourself! nobodys perfect!

1) Spend More Time with Family & Friends appreciate loved ones and spend more time with family and friends this year. 2) Fit in Fitness The evidence is in for fitness. Regular exercise has been associated with more health benefits than anything else known to man. Studies show that it reduces the risk of some cancers, increases longevity, helps achieve and maintain weight loss, enhances mood, lowers blood pressure, and even improves arthritis. In short, exercise keeps you healthy and makes you look and feel better. 3) Enjoy Life More Given the hectic, stressful lifestyles of millions of Americans, it is no wonder that "enjoying life more" has become a popular resolution in recent years. It's an important step to a happier and healthier you! 4) Learn Something New Have you vowed to make this year the year to learn something new? Perhaps you are considering a career change, want to learn a new language, or just how to fix your computer? Whether you take a course or read a book, you'll find education to be one of the easiest, most motivating New Year's resolutions to keep. Challenge your mind in the coming year, and your horizons will expand. 5) Help Others A popular, non-selfish New Year's resolution, volunteerism can take many forms. Whether you choose to spend time helping out at your local library, mentoring a child, or building a house, there are many nonprofit volunteer organizations that could really use your help.

My New Year's Resolution's are as follows: 1. Except my Mom for the opionated person she is, and instead of letting it get to me, just take a deep breath and remain indifferent to it! And remember that some people aren't so blessed as to have their mother around to drive them this crazy, so I should consider myself lucky! 2. Of course, like every year.... I want to lose weight! I need to try hard to focus on this, every year I start off great and then lose interest! But the weight is still there.... so 2007 is going to be my year of finally making this happen. Good luck to each of you on yours!

I would love to stop smoking but to be honest it is not going to happen. I have bad asthama and i wake up EVERY NIGHT not being able to breathe, i really want to stop i even bought patches but it did not help me as the burned my skin. I think the hardest problem is that my girlfriend smokes and if i stop and she is smoking it will want to make me smoke. It is even harder to not smoke when you are drink. I hope you help yourself grow as a person and i hope i can stop smoking, good topic + rating.

wow,, youre right .. thats a tough one,, im not even attempting that one right now,. my best advice to you? ive seen 2 things work for others in the past.. not the gum or the patch or the pills.. one friend a had got hypnotized.. and it WORKED! as long as you really want to it can work ive seen it. and the other is. got to a hopsice and spend a day with some elderly who are dying of emphezema and smoking related cancers.. i had a friend that saw this and after hearing what some had to say they quit on the spot. as for myself! argghh. just dont want to quit! YET!! i have a few times but for very short periods of time. i should take my own advice..

kitty, I know what you mean about the smoking issue. I didn't even start smoking until I was 25 and now, 20 years later, I know I need to quit; want to be around for CJ. But it's weird, even though we know we should quit and would love to be able to, we really don't want to. I have the Nicoderm CQ patch coming in the mail (from a survey thing) soon and I told my hubby about it. He laughed and said, "you don't want to quit, it won't work if you don't want to quit". He's probably right, but I'd like to give it a try, even if I fail.

My new years resolution is aligned to my life's goals since every year takes us forward towards it. I want to be more focussed in my work, remember and honour the little promises i make my husband almost everyday, control my temper, speak slowly, eat right, practise the values my parents imbibed in me, sponsor atleast one child for education and spread love.
