Going to see a movie has become so expensive lately.
Do you prefer to go out and pay to see a movie in the theater or would you rather just rent it when it comes out for half the price?Where I live there is a theater that has $1.00 movie night. I like going to that. Although, so do lots of loud teenagers. I usually just prefer to sit at home and watch a movie so I don't have to sit still and quiet for 2 hours.

I like to do both. Some movies were made for the big screen and other for sound and others just to be viewed. There are discount tickets available. Any one who wants to friend me I will message one such link.

I agree about the discount tickets and that is how I see so many movies on the big screen.

Well i think going for movies in a theatre is good idea every 1ce a while its offcourse comfortable to sit at home n rent the dvd but the fun n excitement of the theatre wid frens or company is a different experience...although comfortability at home wid the leisure of chat wid ur frens n good food n drinks at home is usually preferred even by me..:)

Wow! I would definitely be at the $1 movie night-we have a "bargain show" that has $3.50 movies all the time which is great and the movies are new. I also like to rent from Netflix and have movie nights at home

I prefer to watch in big screen..it is altogether a whole new thing and experience when we watch any film on Big Screen. The sound and effect is mind blowing..
But with the increase in the rate of the tickets and not getting enough time I would settle down in Home watching..
But we really miss the thriller and excitement of the movie when we watch it in the TV.

I agree that theaters are charging so much money for everything that it is ridiculous. I love to go with a friend to a movie, but don't do that very much anymore. We do have a drive in theater where I live that runs from march to oct. ....i think. I like to go there, but haven't even done that in a year or two. The last movie I saw at the theater was Marie Antionette.

We rent movies weekly and sit at home and watch them together. We might go out to the movies a couple of times a year, but with the cost now it is too much to take the whole family. We also have a 1.50 special but like you said there is too many loud teenagers there at that time.

I'm a convert to dvd at home. Theaters don't attract me anymore because the floors ares sticky, room reaks with butter smell, tickets are ridiculously expensive, teenagers are noisy, and many are rude. Nothing beats a good dvd or two at home, with popcorn and other snacks at the ready, cozy on the sofa under a blanket.

I like to just sit at home and watch movies with my family. Don't have to worry about keeping quiet or sitting still the whole movie.

I rarely go to the movies. I went the other day with my husband. The tickets were $9.50 each. Most of the time we are more comfortable at home watching a movie on the big screen. They cost $4.00.

I like the whole experience of the movies...waiting in line for tickets, getting popcorn, finding seats, the previews. But it is WAY too expensive to go anymore. Especially when you go for a family movie & it end up costing $60!
I'd rather just stay at home and watch a movie these days :)

sit at home you can talk and laugh out laud and if you missed something you can rewind it the movie theatre has the big screen and great popcorn but at home you can relax do what you want talk or what not its better and its free from home and if you have to go to the bathroom pause then go but theatre you have to hold it so home is way better
