No. At all!
A friend of mine is a vetenarian and a writer, he wrote some books against vivisection and about vegetarianism, he's vegetarian and grew up his children with a vegetarian diet, but I know other vetenarians who eat meat and fish.
I live in Italia, in my country vegetarians are not many and so it's absolutely normal that a vetenarian eats fish and meat.
I'm vegetarian and know only a few persons who are vegetarians like me. Only one friend of mine is vegan.

may or maynot be....
im a veterinary doctor ...im a strict non vegetarian
but there are vegetarians in our college.but they tend to become non- vegis because in our practicals we slaughter animals and birds and we prepare food products in our classroom itself.the condiments added in the food products attracts even the vegis.therefore a majority of veterinarians are non vegis

vegetarians usually do not eat any kind of meat. They will eat dairy products, such as cheeses eggs and butters. Is thie what you are looking for.

I personally know a number of veterinarians. Most of them are nonvegitarians. Some are strict vegitarians but not because of the profession but because of family (caste) customs. I am also from India. By the way kavitha, what made you to doubt if all vets are vegies?
