I like to watch lightning but thunder disturbs me,esp a sudden loud thunder bolt!! Recently we had thunder storms in our area and the whole time I was huddled on the sofa with my hubby with my ears half closed..hehe!

We love the weather, we live out in the country so we can see the weather as it forms and approaches. We respect it however love the power and intensity it can achieve. Lighting charges the ground with nitrogen which plants need. We do not get frightened just respect it and appreciate it greatly.

I am kind of scared of it, and we have pretty bad thunderstorms in summer here (Montreal). Once, me and my younger sister got really scared, because the lightning hit an electric pole right oustide my sister's bedroom window, and the whole sky flashed green and then the pole fell almost on our roof. We were screaming like little girls (which we were still LOL) and my dad came to see what was up. He freaked out too when he saw that this pole almost fell on his two daughters. I still look at them, but not too long cuz it hurts my eyes.

I love storms. I like to stand at the window and watch the thunder and lightning and the rain with it.
I do sometimes get a bit rattled if the house shakes but I have a lightning conductor on the roof and if it's struck it just trips all the electricity, so fairly safe.
How about you, Emilie?

I'm a bit afraid of the really big storms, especially when it comes with a lot of rain because most of the time it destroys properties and those affected are usually the poor in this country.

I'm weird and I know it. I'm scared of thunder but not of lightning. Just the noise makes me jump and want to hide. I'll curl up on the couch or in bed holding on to something and wish it was over with. Where as just lightning can be beautiful to watch. It is a force of nature that is amazing. I love looking at some of the images people have gotten with their cameras.

when i was a kid, i really get frightened when hearing thunders and seeing lightnings. i usually run to my mother and seek for comfort. but now that i am 28, i no longer get afraid and i understand it's just nature's natural cycle.

It's very strange but it's a family trait that we sleep very well through thunder and lightening. I've never been frightened but my eldest daughter is.

I totally love thunder and lightning storms, they are usually pretty loud and wily in the springtime here in New England, and usually over with pretty quick.I love to listen to them, I like the thunder better than the lightning, but I would like to try and photograph some lightning, just to try. :)

when i was very young, i was terrified of storms. I would crouch behind something and keep my hands over my ears and my eyes tightly shut. I don't know why i was ever frightened of them, now i love storms...i just love watching lightening. It's really beautiful and the energy in the air during a storm is great!

well, i'm not! in fact, i enjoyed watching lightning and sometimes i tried to catch it on still and video camera. I might just feel worried on it.. as it could cause fire, your tv to ill, or power source to fluctuate (they said)...

I love thunderstorms. They put me to sleep. The only time that I really hate them are times when I am not at home.

I used to as a child, I would run and hide in my parents room, I was petrified, I used to run in with a pillow a blanket and my favourite bear. I always used to worry that when I moved out from my parents I would be on my own. Even now as an adult I don't like it and prefer to be indoors when it happens, thankfully not to often in this country.

I stay away from the windows incase it hits there. I'm not really frightened by it, I just don't want to get strike by it.
