I have been to Vegas many times and I have stayed at the Mirage, The New Frontier, The Casino Royale and Excalibur. I have to say my favorite was the Mirage, but only for the experience, it is a great hotel. Since then I have figured out that it doesn't matter where you sleep or if you sleep, so I stay at the Casino Royale now, right accross the street from the Mirage and walk over to gamble. The rooms are clean and cost $49.00 a night compared to the $255 of the mirage. A room is just that in Vegas a room, the action is where you visit not where you sleep.

We were just there for 6 days in mid December. We stayed at the Excalibur. It wasn't bad. I loved going over to the Luxor though through the walkthrough and on the tram they had. I think next time we are going to stay down on Freemont Street. The Luxor is beautiful tough. What do you like best about it?

That was what I really loved about the Luxor too. It was amazing, and it was just as intricate on the inside as it was on the outside.

The first time we went we stayed at the Tropicana and I enjoyed it there, even though it is a older casino. The only down side was the location. The second time we stayed at the Imperial Palace for value and location I loved it. I really enjoyed the casino here, and couldn't wait to get back after dinner, get comfortable and settle in for a long night of gambling.

The MGM Grand. It gets alot of the big events and has a superb buffet. Very close to he airport as its top of the strip and it looks really classy as well as being absolutely huge. I have to agree though. It is very expensive. Though booking in advance may save you a lot of money.

Tropicana, its inexpensive, classy and got all the charm from the 60's. try the japanese steak place.. they make the food right in front of you and its an awesome display, the karoke bar in the tower building is great too, and they also have indore pools which in this weather is a plus point.. small piece of advice, you can access all the hotels in a matter of minutes so why pay a bomb if youre only gona spend a few hrs in bed ? but mind you pls stay in a hotel on the strip, cos the lil shady ones like motels could land you in trouble.. Piece of advce:- what happens in vegas stays in vegas.

I heard the luxor is pretty neat, with the pyrmid shape and all. The nicest hotel, not to the mention the newest on the strip has to be the Wynn. Very expensive though. There had been some speculation that it is just a hotel and not a casino. Those people are wrong, there is a casino and I dropped around $200 there. It has its own golf course and a dealership too. However I have to say that the classiest hotel is the Bellagio. This is the hotel that I hope to one day stay in. Not just a room, but a nice suite (I hope to be making lots of money when I get out of college :P). Inside is just a classy feeling and will make anyone who just visits there seem like they're rich. The fountain show is one of the best shows in Vegas and there is this really neat wood display of the Bellagio and its surroundings. They do have cheap slots, so you could gamble there and not come out of there crying. The most family oriented hotel on the strip I think is Mandalay Bay. A beach like pool thing and a lot of things to do with the kids. But what about the Circus Circus? Well, its fun, has an arcade and a playplace, but what about the parents, that place is just dedicated for kids. I think some sleeper hotels are Ballys, Monte Carlo, and TI. For entertainment, the MGM has to top all of them. All of the hotels I've listed are on the strip. I know you asked for the best hotel, but trying to choose the best hotel is nearly impossible.

i love the Rio all Suites. Its beautiful, and the gambling is terrific, as well as their Party in the Sky. they have a great seafood buffet, excellent. I've also stayed in the imperial palace in the Freemont district. I like it there too. easier to get to casinos, and cheaper table to play at. And the food there is also alot cheaper!

If we're talking rooms, Wynn's rooms are very comfortable, great beds, toiletries, showers. Caesar's Palace (Augustus Tower) is probably second best. If you can get any kind of suite at Bellagio, those rooms are right up there too. Venetian rooms are all "suites" and give you the extra room but don't quite rank up there with the others 3.

I have only visited Las Vegas once and I really enjoyed it. I stayed at the Bellagio. I was very pleased with the services I received while there. The room was clean and maids were polite. In fact, all of the staff were very courteous and helpful. The casino personnel were very attentive to the needs of the customers. I don't know if it is the best hotel in town but I certainly liked it.

I have never stayed at the Luxor, I was in Vegas once about 3 years ago. My brother and his wife got married there. They were married and all the family stayed at the Flamingo. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay and want a place with a good location and good restaurants I would recommend the Flamingo.

Luxor is cool but I dont think it stands up to the upscale casino's. I like the MGM Grand the west wing rooms are great. I love the palms but it is off the strip. My favorite is the Wynn but it is expensive.

You are going to get all kind of answer to that question. This last trip a week ago, we stayed at the Rivera for the first night for $27, we were going to get there late, didn't think we would spend enough time there to worth it's while. We moved to the Planet Hollywood for the nest couple of nights, we asked for the Fountain View room for a little bit more, it was definitely worth the money, room was nice and the view was great, the casino was upbeat. They have the Panorama room on special too, it was sure tempting to upgrade to that, but my friend didn't think we would spend enough time in the room to pay the extra and she was right. But the Panorama room suppose to have a 270 degree view of the strip and the Bellagio fountain of course, and it's about 1200 sq ft in size, next trip, we may get a group and spring money for the room and have a party there, March Madness.

wow, there are so many. I love the strip, but the golden nugget in the freemont area is my favorite. It is so nice there. not so huge, and not so much walking to get somewhere! the payouts are better, and the food is much cheaper. I have stayed at the flamingo on the strip and its location is great because its got alot of close casinos. Very nice rooms in both

If you are going with children, the best hotel is the Circus Circus, if you are going with your wife or girlfriend, husband, boyfriend, lover, etc, the most romantic hotels are the Venetian and The Paris, and if you are going with your friends a I belive the hotels of the downtown are a great option loke the plaza.

Have stayed at Mirage, Aladdin, Bellagio, & Venetian. I'd rate Bellagio #1. Huge rooms, best beds of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Casino was good. Great location. Aladdin was a great place too. Nice rooms, great (but loud) casino, good food, & good location.

True, the Luxor is magnificent to behold, but beware! Do not stay there! The customer service is horrible! We had a leak in our bathroom ceiling, and it took several hours for anyone to come look at it. When they did, they said it would be several hours before anyone could fix it. We were only staying the weekend! We'd have it fixed as we were leaving. Long story short, it took several calls and e-mails back and forth between customer service before they refunded us 1 night. Also, rook service was EXTREMELY slow! Food was cold, and the server hung around expecting a tip. Maybe if we had our food in the first hour. Try another hotel. It is possible my wife and I just had a bad experience, though.
