almost hits your child.I'm glad I don't have a gun because I would have shot this man. This man this morning almost hit my son as we were walking across the street with the light then he gets mad at me.It made me so angry I was cussing ready to fight.
He kept right on going as if he didn't even care. Has anyone out there ever had to get ugly with someone because you had the right away and the person didn't care?
Have you ever went in front of somebody and didn't feel bad about it? Let me know because a little while ago I was a angry mom ready to kill.

well I care because a person in the cross walk has the right of way. the man was in the wrong and where were the cops when this happened.

Where I grew up it was illegal to even begin to cross through a cross walk area (with a car) until the pedestrian had BOTH feet back on the sidewalk.

The cops rolled pass right after it happened, I'm just glad we didn't need them because the guy kept going. Thank you

I have gotten on mt cell phone before & reported stupid drivers like this. I let the 911 operator that there was a dangerous driver & he (& he did) ran me off the road. I saw him further up the freeway, pulled over by a cop, being arrested.

Yes it always happens to me. There are some crazy drivers out there. You should have took his license plate number down and reported him to the police.

You have every right. You are lucky he is ok. There was a story in Columbus this morning, a 6 yr. old child was crossing the street and was hit and killed. It is so sad. They didn't tell much about details yet except that a bus was also sitting there. The news people were speculating that she was going to the bus. How awful to have happened.
Give your son a big hug and thank god that everything is ok. People just need to be more careful.

A few years back,a ladybasically toook away my rights as a driver and although I had the right of way,she managed to slam into my rear bumper. Her headlight was smashed in,and she chased me for 20 minutes down I40 in Albuquerque,NM. SHe almost killed my son & I in the process. She then, after I escaped, had her insurance come after me for payment. Thank goodness she lost and got laughed out of court, but still; that was scary! People are insane out there!

you should have gotten his license plate number. I dont put up with that crap!! I've reported 3 wreckless drivers and volunteered to take them to court! If no one says anything, they might end up killing someone! Or if they would have created an accident and I had my daughter with me I would feel guilty for not saying anything. When Im in my car its the same thing. Occasionally the average jerk cuts me off- so I honk and give the finger, but if they are wreckless, I get their plate number and call ISP.

whether you walk w/ the light or not, pedestrians ALWAYS have the right of way. But especially since you were walking with the light and you had a child, that person should have been charged with wreckless driving. I wish you would have gotten his license plate number

For something like that I'd take their registration plate number and report them to the police. I've given up getting into any sort of confrontation with other drivers because you never know what sort of looper is sitting behind the wheel of a car. I know a girl who blew her horn at a guy for coming through a stop sign and the guy followed her to her place of work and harassed her outside. Her employer came out and told him to leave but she got an awful fright.

Yes I usually just go on about my business when I'm driving but when it comes to my children I'm not playing and I will fight hard for them, because if I don't no one else will. Thank you

I hit his car and he still kept on going, and even though its not a good idea I have a bat and screw driver in my car and I will fight for mines. If they followed me home they would have a big suprise because I would call home before hand and let them know what was going on trust me they would be waiting. Thank you

That's terrible! I am just happy to hear that you & your child are okay. And that no one was hurt. For me people like that shouldn't be driving. Some people like to put the blame on the other person who is driving because they do not want to be held responsible for what they may have ended up doing. To me they should have stopped the car & had asked if the two of you we're okay. But some people out there are sick & don't care about others.
I've never had that happen to me as my other half & me do not have children currently. But I hope I never have to run in to a situation like you had. Because I would probably have done the same thing you we're wanting to do.. As I know I would be a protective parent & be looking out for the well-being of my child.

I am right with you, I would do the same. I hate people not respecting that someone has earned the right to be ahead /wherever they are and trying to nudge in. I never cut lanes/ jump signals or dis-respect anyone that way!!

in that kind of situation if the car was overspeeding i will report to the cops and if it did try to hit my child not by accident but intentionally then i will register a police complaint as well.

My husband and I were at the hospital on our way in, when an older gentleman hit my husband with his truck (he wasn't going fast) and my husband was holding my sons hand. I quickly grabbed my little boy, so my hubby could get out of the way. My husband has the typical Irish temper you hear so much about, He ran up to the door of the guys truck, swung it open and grabbed the man by his collar. But he looked into his eyes and saw terror he said, and He just pushed the guy back in his truck and told him to leave and watch where he was going. The guys was SCARED and drove away. I have never been so angry in my life, but at least the guy realized that he screwed up and at least noone really got hurt.

I am so glad to hear that your son is okay. What a rude driver that person was. I hope that it was an honest mistake and that they somehow didn't see you, although I can't imagine how that is possible. Anyway, no I have never gone in front of someone like that and not cared. I would hope that i would never be so callous. I am just happy that you and your son are safe, and I don't blame you for being angry.
