Do You Wash Your Dishes By Hand, By Dishwasher, or Just Buy Paper Products?

I hate doing dishes by hand and I hate putting them in the dishwasher just as much. I started using paper plates when there were kids around and now I continue to purchase them just because I do not want to load a dishwasher. I drink bottled water or bottled soda, have paperplates and hardly every need a spoon or fork. Do you also buy paper products or do you always have dishes to clean?

Coming from a large family, I have washed dishes both ways. I usually load the dish washer and clean other items by hand. Some items just don't do well in the dishwasher. For instance, my stainless steel pots and sterling silverware. They come out dingy. But on the other hand, especially in the cold and flu season, I feel that dishwasher kills germs better. You just can't get the water hot enough in your sink to sterilize the items. Sometimes I use a tablespoon of bleach in the sink with my dishwashing liquid to help disinfect the dishes. My new years resolution is to not let the dishes pile up while waiting for the dishwasher to be emptied. That seems to be the only draw back when you are the only one doing the dish cleaning.

I put dishes in the dishwasher and run it at least once per day. I have an in-home daycare so we are constantly dirtying plates and cups. I don't know what I would do without my dishwasher!!! I know I would never keep up doing them by hand.

I wash dishes by hand. I don't have a dishwasher; the stuff that you use with it is expensive as all get out and paper products aren't chiep either. $3.50 to $4.00 on palmolive is all I'm gonna pay for dish cleanup!

We give them a good rinse off and throw them in the dishwasher to be sterilized.

I always wash my dishes by hand but because my skin is allergic to oil and soap I have to use plastic gloves covered with a rubber glove in front. It is very tiring but I have to do it anyway. As time passes by I am now getting used to it and I have found the suitable rubber gloves that can fit to my size. So now the problems has decreased and I am quite content about my chores of washing dishes.

I love to cook but hate to do dishes. I use my dishwasher and do my pots and pans by hand. I only use paper plates for picnics

Our dishwasher sucks, so I have to wash most stuff by hand anyways. I scrub things quickly to get gunk off, and put them in the dishwasher. I do handwash plastic storage things, pots & pans, and baby bottles. Usually end up running the dishwasher every day or two. Then I just have to remember to empty it before the sink is filled up again.

I don't have a dishwasher, therefore I wash my dishes by hand. I hate doing the dishes! I usually use paper plates when a party or get together or when camping.

I'd have to say that I do a combination of all three.
I don't mind loading the dishwasher but I hate unloading it !
We do use paper plates sometimes, but not all the time, they sure are handy though.
We don't really use any type of paperware for cups, just our usual cups.

Being in a third world country, we don't usually make use of mechanical dishwashers here and we are used to washing dishes by hand. I wash the dishes by hand even if my wife would insist that she do it but I guess I really still want to wash the dishes as I've been used to when I was still single.
