A mother and son have been accused of stealing a snake from a pet store were arrested the next day when they returned to the store and asked for books on how to care for the animal Police said that the store clerks recognized the suspects from surveillance video taken during the theft and stalled them until police arrived. Isn't this too funny!! Why couldn't they just go to the library and get a book about the care and feeding of their "new pet"??

That's so silly, Why have a pet that you have no idea how to care for? Arrogance and stupidity are wonderful things, funny as hell tho'.
Most people that commit crimes are stupid, that's why they get caught and if they don't get caught then the bad karma they will recieve from hurting another will repay them.

Still don't know what they didn't go to the library to get the information they needed, or look it up on their maybe stolen computer if they had one! Thanks for responding..

That is stupid. I think it's stupid to commit a crime like that anyway. I'm not saying I would do it, but I understand if there's a need for it like food or money to pay bills, but who needs a snake. I like the one where the guy robbed a convenience store and then tried to hide out nearby, but there was snow on the ground and the police followed his footprints right to his hiding place.

That is my favorite so far, the robbers that can be tracked in the snow and normally don't live very far. Thanks so much for responding.

Thats is funny!
I have one, I don't know If it's true, someone told me.
Someone chained a ATM up to the bumper of their truck.
It ripped the bumper off their truck, but it did open the ATM, so they grabbed as much cash as they could, and in a hurry they drove off leaving the bumper. Guess what was attached to the bumper. I'll give you a hint it had three letters and three numbers!

While computing I have the television on usually talk type news shows and the news. I overhear my local news, actually the city of 40 miles away. anyway it is some local folk that committed this lame activity. So proud of the fellow Ohioans.

I think criminals tend to do stupid things. (of course, I think the fact that they stole a snake, was pretty stupid) I think they get arrogant, and think they will not get caught. Hope the snake was worth it!

I agree! Now let me see the worth of this crime, they lose the snake, get a record, do time or pay a large fine, lost their home if in jail any length of time. Now harder to get a job. Oh, my favorite is now they have cost US money. Thanks for responding.

Come to think of it, that was a real foolish act by them.
If they are not foolish, then it is could be the reverse, and they got too smart for their own good. They may think that they have got away with it, became complacent and think that this is all too easy. For all you know, they could even be attempting to steal other stuff by using the book as a pretext.

Hello new friend, I didn't consider your aspect of it and wow, that could be true. It was a Mom and son if I read correctly so I wonder!!

probably to try and get on TV. There was a great story on my local news today, a man was arrested for stealing a urinal from a pub, in between drinks he kept going to the loo and slowly unscrewing it, once he finally got it off he put it in his bag and walked out. Not entirely sure what he was going to do with the urinal, but its an original one

My daughter and I couldn't quite figure out what the man would want that loo for in his home? for a loved one? proof that he was actually in the bar that night? Hard to say. used to be that if it wasn't nailed down some people would steal it. not anymore!

If they are stupid enough to break the law and steal, I suppose that their common sense is not existing as well. It's pretty stupid for sure.

Some people...I have another one! Thieves run from the building the burglarize and leave their footprints in the snow and they live in the neighborhood! I think I found that sign!!

That's hilarious! There was another poster here who was saying that her son's bike was stolen and put back, and then stolen again. I wonder does she live anywhere near you? Is it something in the air? LOL!

Thanks and am not sure depends on where that other poster lives. We had a car stolen once and then returned to a mall across the street from where I worked. I saw it and called Mall Security and they investigated with the information that I gave them and they verified it as mine. Went and collected it and drove it home that day. There was change in the console and they never touched that! Weird. Thanks for responding.
