Yeah, the most I've ever done is 150 or so posts in a day. I'm trying to get up to 1400 today, because I'm bored and have nothing else to do. The people who are top posters tend to post one line, noncomittal responses like 'yeah, I agree with everything you've said, very good discussion!' and things like that, to boost their post count.

I can see you have already 671 posts and response to your name. I have slightly more than 100. Looks like being a top user is a fantasy to me. Nevertheless, I keep regular responses daily (whenever possible) and one or two new discussions weekly. In that way, I do not stress myself out. At the same time, I take time to read new posts along the lines of topics that interest me.
Definetely, sitting 8 hours in fromt of the computer to post at mylot is not my cup of tea. But mylot is my favourite discussion forum.

neither do i, i tried to be the top user of the day but never did it. i think one should stay for as long as 18 hours straight to be qualified as the top user of the day. greetings. : )

I could never sit in front of the computer for that long! Now, if I had a laptop and could type while I watch tv...LOL...that might be another story!

After all this time I am not completely sure how they work out who the top user is. However I believe it has something to do with the number of responses they make, discussions they start as well as responses received to their own discussions. How long these people stay on myLot I have no idea, although I know of a number of people who actually do some of their stuff in another program and then transfer (probably cut and paste) it to myLot. The ones who do this are easy to detect simply because of how their responses are set out. LOL
At one time when I had no discussions of my own plus had the place to myself I could spend hours here on myLot, although I would do a bit of time and then spend some time away from the computer. I would be on and off the computer all day and so the hours would have added up but I still never made top user. I am not sure whether there is any benefit financially in being top user but it isn't the highest rating people who end up on the list if you check it out.

I don't make enought here to worry about. I was just curious at how they do it. Sometimes it a person with over 3000 as their number and once in awhile it is a newbie. Just wondered how it works.

I don't make it as a goal to be one of the top users although I checked to see myself there in two occasions when I thought I may qualify for that day and I wasn't there.
I do "waste" a lot of time reading around and posting back many times in discussions that wasn't even started by me so I don't get points to many of my posts, I just try to enjoy more and think less about the money but I still think a bout the money I wish I can make more, I do feel happy when it gets above $1 in a day :)

The best I did was 51 responds for a day..
Since english is not my mother language it take me some time to check some mistakes and to think how to write a respond.
Otherwise I think that I could do even better :)
Also I dont have that much time to sit in that site :(
Homework T_T

I have never been a top user but i have never posted more than 50 in one day. Today i am going to try and do 150 posts to see how much i can make. I think it would be hard to be a top users because most people on here type from 400-600 posts on here.
If you want to be a top user you will need to come on for about 20 hours and post a lot, what else you need to do is upload alot of photo's to your interests.

I have no idea. I do not think I have ever been one either, even when I had that much time to spend on line. I think my body would go numb and my hands fall asleep if I tried. I talk too much to be that fast.

Seems like those that have faster computers rather than dial up like me can post discussions like crazy. I have one friend that has a high number in parenthesis however even they post many discussion I see no pictures and that is a soure of income. Also in responses many who can do not use pictures. Also with brief wording it dones not seem possible that they are earning much money. You do what you can and add pictures each time you can and you will earn your way. Top user..not an issue really. Like being a star for a day!

They must be very fast readers and have excellent typing speeds. It takes me forever to type a response, as I make so many mistakes and I pretty slow. I also spend a lot of time reading topics and get carried away. I posted almost 100 responses in one day, but my eyes were sore afterwards, not to mention my fingers...and all for a few cents. I don't think it is worth it, so now I just settle for reading and responding to discussions which I like regardless of how long it takes me.

I definitely am not a top poster, but I really want to keep track of the responses that you get to this question, so I thought the best thing to do was to respond[and hope that you wouldn't mind the lack of helpful info in this response]and for sure I would always have a record of the answers that you received...SS
