Has anybody ever gone to the Picture People. They seem a little expensive to me. I know they have a lot of cute props. But are they worth the price? Anybody know if they run deals on portrait sheets, like Sears and JC Penney routinely do?

I used to be obcessed with the picture people. They charge something like $18 a sheet but you can buy packages and they normally have coupons. In addition, there are never any sitting fees. What I like is the fact that you can pick up your portraits in an hour and they are not digital.
I do think that the picture people has some customer service problems and they dont value their customers. Not only have I had problems with them, I have run into several people who share the same experience.

I like some of the backgrounds and props that they have available for photographing toddlers. However, $18 a sheet is ridiculous, considering that J.C. Penney distributes abundant coupons for $4 a sheet, with no sitting fee and a free 8x10. And Sears has coupons for $3 a sheet, but you have to buy 7 or 8 at a higher price first. All of which makes me wonder why the Picture People aren't more competitive, and how do they stay in business? And how do you get their coupons, anyway? They have never sent me any. Evidently they don't care to build up a database of prospective customers (ie, parents of babies).

Yeah they have on in the mall about 45 minutes from where I stay. They are awesome but they are a little pricey, I agree! i have never gotten mine or my daughters pictures done there. Walmart and Sears do a great job!
