Today I purchased an Aventurine bracelet. It's properties are said to give humour, gaiety and patience. It purifies one's mental, emotional and ethereal bodies. Helps to release all anxieties and fears. Emotional tranquility, positive attitudes towards life, independence, health and well being. I need all of these things, which is why I purchased it. It's a pretty bracelet. I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't. There were different necklaces and bracelets to choose from. Anyway, back to my question, do you believe in the power of gem stones?

Many people believe that gem stones and crystals act as amplifiers when brought into contact with the human body's seven-Chakra points. Chakras are wheels of energy that are located in seven centers within the body. The seven chakras correspond to the seven colors of the rainbow, the seven notes on a musical scale, and the seven endocrine glands. Rotating at different speeds, these chakra points release energies, imparting the body with its precious life forces. Your chakras can become clogged from stress or anxiety, and some people believe that using gem stones or crystals in accordance with meditation or bodywork will balance these energy points, promoting health, happiness and well being. I know its work for me. Your experience with any crystal or gemstone will be a combination of that crystals unique properties and what you bring to the situation. Your experience will be unique to u. You will know in your heart if a stone is right for you. Pick them up, feel them, meditate with them. Take some time to be quiet with them. Take care of them, cleanse them and charge them, and keep them around you. Wear them. Let them touch your skin. I think you will br pleasantly surprised. It is merely coincidence that so many peoples in so many countires, in different ages and times, in different cultures long before mass transportation and communication seem to attribute the same healing qualities to the same gemstones? Is it just co-incidence?

I agree with what you say about the combination of the unique properties and what your bring to the situation. I cannot rely solely on the stones themselves, but think positively as well. Thanks for your response.

yes... i do. i've indulged myself in crystals and gems... of course they are also v. pretty and in a way good accessories since they come in all sort of colours. i wear a multi-colour crystal now, a gift from my mom, on an everyday basis. According to an "expert" it is too general and does not serve any specific purpose. However, if I am really interested to harness the full power or purpose, I need to wear specific gemstones.

No,God has the power to do all these things no idol can do this. The gem is a just a stone which did not create itself nor does it have the power to move if you pick it up then thats the only way it will move please get my point.

I personally do not believe in gem stones. I think a stone cannot change your present or future. These stones can be used as good and attractive accessories matching your dresses. Their effect is psychological, u feel great because all the time you think that you are wearing a gem stone. For example, if you are wearing a stone to cool down your anger, whole day you will be thinking about the stone and the moment you feel angry, you will remember your stone and will cool down automatically. Do believe in God and not in stones.

I too believe that the psychological effect has something to do with it. Thanks for your response.

I think that they do have some power simply because they were created by God. Just try to not place all of your hopes and well-being in an object.

I'm up for anything, but I wouldn't put all of my eggs in the gemstone basket. Let e know how this works! Also, have you ever thought about the power of positive thinking. Sometimes I think thats the main power these amulets have... the power we give ourselves.

That is what I think too. If I think positively, things will get better. I am trying. Thanks for your response.

no, i dnt think a gem stone or rather any other stone has any power which can do an good for me. i believe that we have what it takes to make our life better. there are ample of opportunity, but it has to be taken by us. they will not come to us. and if can do that then no one can stop us from th path of success. and those who believe in these things alwways thinks that it is the gem which did all the good to them and not their quality.

i know a little bit about the gems. from the reading and some science proof actually the gems as no power it just like having a medicine. as an analogy is a panadol. we use to use panadol to heal some headache. why? it because that panadol contains some chemicals substance that could heal the headache. the same thing goes in gem stones. in the gem stones there are certain stuff that could heal some ailment. an example is aqua marine could heal and overcome of sensitive skin problem.it just like we are having the modern medition but if we are using the gem stones the medition of us is gem stones.

I personally don't believe in the power of gem stones and also don't believe the study of planets..which is thought to be greatly influences your life style. But sometimes the environment around us makes us helpless in believing some unscientific facts..It forcefully makes us to believe in them.I have seen many such incidents where it has actually benefitted the user..but don't know whether it is just a coincidence or its power..I don't know..what it is??? But they is something in those gem stones..which controls the body of the user..

there are a lot who believes in it.... i can use those charms also as to give my self a little courage of bringing it luck to myself & boasting my will power then. feng shui or the chinese reading of any charms you use & positions of anything at home may have meanings & may usually be a good guide for any vibrations in our future. we don't loose anything if we believe on some but just don't rely yourself on the readings , do your part also to achieve / success.

To come directly to the point, i am a man of science and do believe that each and everything has a perfect reason. In case of gem stones i dont believe that they possess such powers. It is we who make them powerfu by our mind. We have een told that they possess so and so properties, thus a sort of positive attitude gets created in our sub concious mind thus that makes the things true. Not the power of the stone but our thinking makes it powerfull.

I was told to use Ruby as per my sign . After a week or so I started using it I lost my son in law. You can derive the inference about the usefulness of the gem stone from my experience.

I am sorry to hear this. The book I have on gem stones says nothing about rubies. It doesn't say anything about opals, which is my birthstone. Though the card on which an opal necklace hung indicated it had healing powers. I have been sick for 10 years. It's not healing me much, but then I'm not wearing all my opals all the time. Again, I am sorry for your loss.

I'm not really sure as I have never tried them. I know many people use different bracelets usually copper ones and they are suppose to help with arthritis but I haven't heard of gem stone ones that actually help your mood.

I know for sure copper bracelets work. My husband has a bum wrist and wears a copper bracelet 24/7. If he takes it off his wrist starts to hurt again. I heard a chemist say that it doesn't do any good. A chemist! I don't believe him.

In order to attain tranquility you are wasting your money. Yoga gives you a ten fold tranquility without spending a dime. Its not the question of belief or not having faith. My contention is when there are effective things around you, there is no necessity of throwing a fortune on a gem about whose good qualities are not a certainty. I may please be pardoned for being wee bit personal.

I don't really believe I am wasting my money. The bracelet is pretty and it didn't cost me a fortune - $15. I will not put all my faith in the gem itself, but my mindset may change if I believe it will.

Ooh, that sounds lovely. Do crystals count? I have one of those that I love to hold. I've been to a pyschic fair in the past and know a little about gemstones and the different things that they are meant to represent, but it's been a long time since I did any research on the subject. I would love to see a photo of your bracelet! ^_^

Well, I'm not at 500 points yet, but will be very, very soon. Then I can post pictures. I will scan my bracelet and post it for you to see. It is simple but pretty. They had some pretty gaudy looking jewelry at the store.

I made an attempt at scanning the bracelet. You can't really see the colour. It is dark green, and, as I said, very simple.

Yes i do feel so...it is scientific in fact...If radiations of one sort can energize cells and cause cancer, then attracting radioations of other kinds can surely put up good health, change moods etc...

I did not know that about Tiger's Eye. Perhaps I should put my earrings in my wallet. Thanks for your response.
