Is Neopets For Children?

Heya. As you can see I'm kinda new around here. xD But my first question to you all is this; is the website Neopets.com for children, and if so, then what is the age limit to being a child? I personally think it is a great site, and everyone should be able to enjoy it without being emberassed. What does everyone else think about this?

Well, I think Neopets is created for children, but I don't think that only children can enjoy it. :) I'm 23 and I've been playing for around 5 years. I also just recently got my boyfriend into playing, and now he's been on there for a few months. He really just likes the games, but it's still kinda funny. lol. I think people of all ages can enjoy Neopets :)

Nope, not at all. Neopets is all ages, from 9-99, and even those constructs aren't iron clad.
I started playing more than 5 years ago, and I'll be 30 in a few weeks. My husband, 28, has been playing just as long. Some of my neofriends are young, some are much older than me.
Actually, the only article I've had published by the neopian times was on adult neopians, pointing out just how many of us there really are. :)
I think that's the great thing about neoepts, really. For adults, we can relax and disappear in a fantasy world, own a bank account that says "mega riches", play the stock market, gamble, etc .. and never once have to leave our houses. :)

Anyway, as Jade said, the game is for everyone. However if it had to be for just one person, it would be college students. Thats what the site was originally made for.
And if were having a competition whos been on for the longest, I've been on for 7 years. xD

i think neopets is for everyone... i'm in my 20s and i play neopets, my little brother is in grade school and he also plays neopets... there are a lot of things we can do in neopets and they accommodate different age groups such as games, contests, battledome, business (buy & sell), trading, auctions, etc...

Yeah. I think that theres a variety for everyone. Even if not all the conversations are about things that some adults would prefer to talk about than avatars or something. xD

Yes Neopets are for kids and for the kids at heart like me. I still play neopets at least once a week just to relax and have fun. My little sister grasp the responsibility of having a pet through neopets, she learned that a pet needs to be fed everyday, she used to think that pets are toys.

I think that Neopets is for all ages! I'm 31 and I would still play it (or at least check on my pets) except that I can't get logged into my account. I'm pretty frustrated about it.. I know my username and password, but it isn't accepting my birthday, I tried enterting it four times and it wouldn't take it. I don't know what's wrong. I guess that I should contact the owners of the site, but I'm shy and don't really want to do that while I don't really have the time to play on the site much.. but I had a ton of Neopoints, I collect petpets (most of them are stored away in my safety deposit box) and at least three of my four pets are painted.. I think that they all are, actually, since I've used the Lab Ray on most of them. But I painted one starry because I thought that it was lovely.. I definitely bought that paint brush ^_~

Neopets was actually created for college students by college students. I think that your age doesn't matter on the site itself because they have age limits set for everything. My nephew plays and he is 7, but he can't get in the chat area(which I am glad of). I play and I am 34. I think it is a GREAT site for all age groups to enjoy, play games and have fun.

Neopets really caters towards children but that does not mean that Adults cannot play it. I played it until I was about 13 which you can say is a little too old for someone to be playing a game about cartoony pets.

Unless you define a child as a college age person, then no way. Neopets was CREATED as a stress reliever for college students. There are TONS of adults on Neopets. There are also games you can only play (gambling) if you have an 18+ account (or parents permission). One of my favorites on Neopets is Plushie Tycoon , a game that is certainly NOT for children! I also use the Stockmarket for earning NP, something you wouldn't expect a child to understand, or have the patience for.
Soo ... simply put ... No Neopets is not JUST for children, it is for them also. Neopets is really a multi-age site.

I think it's definitely an all ages site. Really, at what point do you lose the need to relax by playing some silly games? Never I say!
As long as adults remember that there are a lot of children on the site and treat it that way (ie. language etc) i don't see why age should be any problem.

I think it is great for people of all ages and there is no reason to be embarrassed....i think there is somthing on Neopets for everyone of all ages...some of the puzzles and plots are still very challenging for adults and you have to put ALOT of effort to become very successful at it (such as accquiring rare PBs and such)...so i think it can be a fun challenge for anyone
