The best anti-virus programs in my opinion are AVG or Avast, both of which are free downloads. My friend is a programmer, he placed 10 viruses on his PC to see what could find them all, AVG found 14. You can get AVG by searching AVG free edition, or search Avast

Nod 32 is the best anti-virus to date, by best i mean it has the highest rate of detection for known viruses and viruses in the wild. the main drawback to nod 32 is the fact that its resource hungry meaning that it does slow your pc a little. The second best anti-virus has to be Kaspesky, it is far less demanding on your computer and is only a little less powerful than nod 32.

The best free antivirus software is AVG..and also if you can manage c***k for P*****d version then one can go for Bit Defender AntiVirus..the best in the business. You can also try McAFee or Kaspersky..they are both equal in performance..but depends on one's likeness..Also you have the option for the most talked Norton Antivirus..It is also on of the best but one drawback it consumes alot of system memeory and the system becomes somewhat slow in responding..

In my PC, I have installed the McAfee Virus Scan Professional from McAfee (www.mcafee.com). The software is really reliable, and updating of security updates is automatically downloaded online even on the background.
Trojans, Worms, Spywares, and any malicious files are totally detected and cleaned by McAfee Virus Scan Professional as long as it is updated.
Also, if you want to manually check the latest security updates for this software, you can browse only to www.mcafee.com and find security updates button. You can download the security updates for free, as long as your McAfee Virus Scan Professional is licensed by McAfee.
