I believe everybody knows about the story of robin hood. The thief who steals money from the rich and gives it away to the poor people. He robs the wealthiest of the wealthiest personalities during his time. But, by doing so, robinhood became the most wanted criminal. Many became his enemy. However, robinhood never stopped this routine because he believed that the rich does not need their excess wealth while the poor needs it best. Is robinhood a sinner if he is seeking a better life for all? I know that people like robinhood still exists in this world but they are being punished for doing this things. Is it wrong to seek a better life for all?

Its not wrong to seek a better life for all... if done in a proper way. Stealing regardless of whom you steal with is still a stealing and its undoubtedly a sin. I'm sure there are many ways to help people to improve their financial status and alleviate their struggles and hardships on these life. But stealing in not an option, we can't justify a thing like that for a reason of helping less fortunate people. When someone stole he committed a crime that is worth for punishment.

I agree with him totally. Instead he would have done some work and would have helped them out. I feel that it is not the way to help poor. Is being wealthy a crime? They have achieved this position beacause they have put in a lot of hard work. And its their reward. Stealing from wealthy people is a crime and He deserves punishment. Another thing poor people can be encouraged to do some job than begging. I found most of the poor people don't want to get into a good position and want to stay like that. Rather they find solace in begging. it is all because of lack of motivation and interest. Instead we'll try to develop this interest in them.

I cant agree more. Stealing is bad for whatever reason. And you cant reason out sin. There are a lot of rich people who have hard earned money. Think, if you are a millionnaire with hard earned money, will you allow a person to steal it even to give to poor?

As listed in the ten commandments, you're not supposed to steal- for whatever reason you might have. A good reason cannot justify a wrong act.

well, i dont what r ur views on what a sin is or ur religion, but i can tell u its definetely a crime, its not a good action or charity or anything like that, true, the poor needs it but so does the rich, or maybe not, but its still his money, a good action would be to encourage the rich to give to the poor, now that is not a sin or crime.

I don't look upon Robin Hood as a thief. I view him as a man fighting to get back from the Sheriff of Nottingham what he, the sheriff, had originally "stolen" from the poor by unfair taxes. RH was only a criminal in the eyes of another criminal...like the old saying says: "it takes one to know one". So based on this I would not tag RH as a sinner but as a protector of the people. I'm not sure that there are people who are doing the same thing is this day and age. It is difficult to come up with a scheme that would force the rich to to persecute someone who is trying to do good...at least legally.

Yes of course it's a sin. If these people are rich because they worked hard and earned their money honestly then you stealing from them is wrong. If you had worked hard for your life and earned enough money to consider yourself rich would you not consider it stealing if someone with less than you tried to take it from you?

I say 'go Robin Hood'! I'm not one to endorse stealing, but it's not like he left the rich people struggling. And if anything it should be the rich people who are ashamed of themselves for being so selfish..

Why shouldn't the poor people be ashamed of the bad spending habits keeping them poor? And you call the rich selfish, but look at where a lot of the money for humanitarian projects comes from. Look that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The vast majority of the rich people I know are very giving people.

stealing money it self a sin... no matter hw noble work you gonna do with that.. see you cant expect good from bad... if you have courage then earn by urself and then give it to poor..rather then snatching from others.

It is wrong to steal from anybody. You donot have a right to someone money because they are rich. I cannot say if anyone is a sinner that is up to God to judge them. I know for me I would not steal from anyone.

Its not wrong to seek a better life but still you have to consider how to find it. one said "there're many legal ways to be rich so why doing illegal ways". though stealing from the rich would be a good idea (romantically) i dont agree with it coz there're still other ways tobe rich if we eant to try

Yes honestly i think its wrong. it doesnt matter what is ur purpose as long as u steal it, that is wrong. like some said, there are many ways to help the poor instead of stealing from the rich and distribute it to the poor. then who wants to be rich if u said stealing from the rich and giv it to the poor is right? so i think its wrong to do so.

I think stealing is a crime eventough you stealing a penny or a million.I undestand what you saying but just think that the basics are the basic.Stealing is not legal and it applies for everyone even he is a rick person, even he smuggles or somethin but in the end what you are doing is stealing.

It is not a wrong thought to make a better life for all, but how you manage to do that can be a serious problem. What ever your reasons are, stealling are sin, and it strictly forbidden. You can still manage to earn money, run donation or some other action to earn money. Or use your own money, no matter how small the amount is, it still more noble than stealing. If you steal from someone, for example corrupt people, than you will feed other s with blood money.

its a sin because if you really want to help the poor, it should come from your heart, and the rich people worked hard for what they have. Poor people should also work so they can have a better life, because if you keep giving things to them, they will depend on it, and not worked hard. Its better not to steal just give to poor people, just help them move on, like teach them and give them tips to have money.

I really donot have any idea, see the stealing part is sin and giving to poor is not bad. but stealing and giving to poor ........i think it is bad. because the rich also will get the money by hardwork. may be ribinhood is a hero for many. but any one wants to give to the poor so he has to give by his own or encourage the rich to donate to the poor.

Bro, stealing is stealing, wether you support the poor or yourself it makes no different. As long as it does not belong to you, you have sined. No body is born rich, some might have inherited from their parents, but certainly their parents have worked for it or steal them from the govenment or coporation etc. Even if you rob a thief to support the poor you have wronged

Stealing in respect of the intentions is wrong and MUST be punished, seeking better life is good and noble but seeking it thru stealing other peoples hard earned wealth is criminal and MUST be condemned by evry right thinking human being, and there is nothing like modern day robinhood.Robinhood exists only in childrens stories

Of course it is a sin to steal! that is so clear. I mean do you think those poor people would be happy that you got the money from doing such acts? They wont accept it if they are decent enough. If they had a choice they wont accept it. But I know, life sometimes can be just so cruel, you can't do anything but just resort to such acts just to survive. But at the back of our minds, stealing is still wrong and we know that.
