You can't have bacon because it's pork, correct? If so, you can buy turkey bacon.

Our grocery store always has good-sized bags of frozen veggies for $1. I like to saute these along with some soy sauce and garlic and serve on top of brown rice. Cheap and easy and healthy. Also, I love to make stews and casseroles. You can put almost anything you want into them. Just throw in a pot or baking dish and let it cook away. I like lentil, bean, and/or potato and veggie stews. For casseroles I like broccoli and rice with a container of fat free cream soup mixed in. Or a layered potato casserole. There are so many possible combinations.

The soy sauce is the dark black sauce, isn't it? Here in my country we call it ketchup. And i like eating it with plain rice. When I don't have the mood to cook I would just fry eggs, mix some vege and saute them and eat with rice. Sometimes I will fry saulted fish to add flavour.

hi there i have a simple recipe it may look big but is really simple Vegetable Biryani Biriani is a classic Indian celebratory rice dish. Generally with a combination of meat, chicken, shrimp, vegetables or fish. This is a hearty and healthy vegetable version. A meal within itself. 1 1/2 cups basmati rice 3 tablespoons vegetable oil or ghee 1 pinch saffron 1 pinch turmeric 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 1/2 cups vegetable broth 1 cup chopped onions 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, peeled and grated 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 pinch cayenne pepper 1/2 cup water 1 medium carrot, diced 2 cups small cauliflower florets 1 medium bell pepper, diced 1 tomato, diced 1/2 cup frozen fresh peas 1/3 cup raisins 3/4 cup canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained salt, to taste roasted cashews, for garnish Heat 1 tablespoon oil and add rice; sauté briefly, stirring to coat each grain completely. Add crumbled saffron, turmeric, salt, and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat; simmer for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, heat remaining 2 tablespoons oil over medium-high heat and sauté the onions for 5 minutes. Add ginger, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and cayenne, and cook for one minute, stirring constantly. Preheat oven to 350. Add 1/2 cup water, carrot, and cauliflower; cover, reduce heat and cook 3 to 4 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer until vegetables are just tender, adding more water as needed. Season with salt, to taste. Butter a baking dish, spread half of rice in it, cover with vegetable mixture, and top with the rest of the rice. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Garnish with toasted cashews. hope you like it

if you want to try something different i suggest fried banana fritters. What you need to do is make a thin batter by mixing rice flour with water and a bit of salt(preferably cold water). Cut a few ripe bananas into small pieces. Next, dip the bananas into the batter and deep fry until they became golden & crispy. Or you can also crush the bananas altogether with a bit of plain flour. Add a bit of sugar and make sure the mixture is a bit sticky (only a bit). Deep fry the mixture a spoonful at a time until it became brownish. Make sure the oil is not too hot or you might burnt them.

Yes, I have tried making banana fritters and I really like them! Usually we eat them during tea and sometimes breakfast too. My husband likes to eat it with chilli sauce or ketchup mixed with chili padi (the small very hot chilli). Thanks for the recipe!

Yummy! I've never known there is a nacho cheese soup in a can. I must search it at my local store. Hmm... I think I want to share with you one recipe. Have you ever tried rice porridge? Here it goes...lol... Boil half a cup of rice with 5 glasses of water and a handful of meat. Let it boil until the rice become porridge. Put in chopped potatoes and carrots. When the vege are soft, put in salt, half a cup of pure coconut milk and let it boil for 20 seconds. Lastly, sprinkle some fried onion and onion leaves (chopped) on top. Serve while hot. It is very delicious!

The easiest and cheapest one I do when I run out of ideas is corned beef with vegetables. All you do is saute onions, garlic and tomatoes, add a beef cube melted in a cup of hot water, and lastly, some leafy vegetables (cabbage cut in small pieces will do). Put a little more water if you want it more soupy. Hope you'll try and like it!

It's easy to get short of idea's for meals to make. I know how you feel. I try to keep it interesting though by always trying to make something new. I have included a recipe below for you to try if you are interested. I have found when I have made it that it was rather simple, & it's not all to expensive to make as well either. I know that every time I make these pork chops this way that my other half just loves them.. The minute I tell him what I had made for supper he seems to always be excited about coming home to a meal such as this one.. I hope if you do end up using the recipe that you end up liking it as much as we do. Thanks for allowing me to share! xx "Saucy Pork Chops." Ingredients are as follows: - 2 eggs - 2 tbsp water - 4 or 5 3/4 thick butterfly pork chops. But cut in half - 1 tbsp of oil - 1 1/2 cups of seasoned bread crumbs - 1/4 cup of butter - 1 cup. of mushrooms, sliced though - 1 cup. of sour cream - 1/2 cup of chicken broth - 1 can of cream of chicken soup Directions are as follows: - Beat both the egg & the water together. - Then dip the pork pieces in to the egg mixture, then in the bread crumbs. - Then fry in the oil until brown. 5 or so minutes on each side of the pork chops. - Then layer in a 13x9 pan. And then melt the butter & saute the mushrooms. - Then add the soup, the sour cream, & also the broth. - Then pour this mixture over the pork chops. - Then bake, uncovered though, in a 325 degree oven for roughly 1 hour. By doing this it helps to keep well in a warm over afterwards or later on. It also helps to make the meat taste even tastier by doing this!

I have a simple recipe for you. It is beef cooked in soy sauce. 300 grams beef sliced thinly 1 big onion (pound or chop) 1/2 inch ginger sliced thinly 4-5 tablespoon oil salt to taste 5 tbs tamarind juice 5-10 small hot chilli (pounded until fine) 3-4 tbs soy sauce 1 big onion (slice like onion rings) Fry the beef in medium heat in a pan. After the beef is white, put in the chilli, ginger and pounded onion. Stir until the onion is golden and fragrant. Pour in the tamarind juice, soy sauce and stir until it comes to a boil. Taste and add salt if needed. Lastly, put in the onion rings and let the onion soft a little before putting off the fire. Then put the dish in a decorated plate (up to you) and walla! Another simple dish is completed!

How about this one: Fry up hamburger patties, while there cooking mix up 2 packages of brown gravy, or mushroom gravy, when the hamburger patties are done put them in the gravy and you can serve it with rice or mashed potatoes. My Kids love this one Crumble hamburger and fry it up, when it's done mix one can of cheddar cheese soup, and one can of cream of mushroom soup, take a square bakeing pan put frozen french fries on bottom put meat mixture on top and bake in oven for about 30 min, take out sprinkle with cheese. I cook everynite, I have a bunch because we are on a tight budget, I have listed a few if you need anymore, let me know.

For a quick easy and very cheap meal for 4 people I make a instant noodle dish. It involves you cooking up 3 packets of instant noodles, then add some grated cheese, chopped onion, diced ham/bacon, diced tomato, peas, corn, any left over vegies (ie cauliflower, broccoli), and 2 or 3 eggs. Mix well, put into the zapper for a few mintues, stir through again, dish up with a little more grated cheese and you'll be full afterwards. its my kids favourite meal

This recipe is surely simple to prepare. I'll replace the ham with diced beef. I am sure my husband will like this recipe too. Thanks. Here's my version of noodle: 1.Boil 3 packets of instant noodles until soft and pour out the water. Put aside. 2.Put 3 tablespoons of cooking oil into a hot wok. 3.Put in one sliced onion, one sliced garlic, chopped beef, a spoonful of chilli boh and a teaspoon of tamarind juice. Stir awhile and put in ketchup and oyster sauce. 4.Put in the noodle together with some vege. Stir until the vege is soft. Serve and eat. :)
