Paper or plastic.......

Paper or plastic? They say plastic is more environmentally friendly, but I see these plastic bags all along the road. They are hanging in the bushes and blowing in the ditch. Is it just me or have you ever seen a brown PAPER grocery bag on the road. I can't remember seeing this now or ever. I like brown paper bags because the groceries fall out of the plastic bags easily and then I have to chase them all over the van. It doesn't have a trunk the stuff rolls ALL OVER. Which do you like, AND TELL ME WHY.

I dont even get ask this question anymore. The markets here only use plastic. I just did a discussion on bags myself. I hate seeing plastic bags in the trees. I am afraid to put my valuables in those cheap plastic bags anyway because they tear so easily.
Our mini back seat had slots in it to hold plastic bags in place. IT was great and eliminated those cans rolling all over the place.
I just finished making my own bag to use when I go shopping. I added the link on my discussion.

i like plastic because i can carry more plastic bags in one hand then i can with paper, plus i recycle my plastic bags and use them for trash bags for my bathroom and office trash cans or i take them back to the store to have them recycled.

I prefer paper. They can handle more weight, are better for the environment and are easier to recycle.

The small local grocery store near me still offers paper bags, but none of the bigger stores offer them. All they have is the plastic ones.
I much prefer paper bags. You can get a lot more in the bags and to me, they are easier to carry. I have so many plastic bags in my house, it isn't even funny. Some of the stores will recycle them, but I always forget to put them back in my car to take to the store.

I like the paper bags more. I can get more re-use out of them than I can plastic bags. And you are correct, a person never sees brown paper bags blowing down the road.
Paper bags can hold sturdier items than plastic, and they make better trash can liners.

I absolutely HATE plastic bags. I see them hanging in trees too, or in parking lots... They are so bad for the environment and absolutely useless. They rip so easily and can hold like 2 groceries!

Well, that is an interesting point. But, I get plastic bags when I buy gorceries and they are reusable. I use them for anything that requires a small bag around my house.
