i lived in cavite for over two decades but i don't think i've travelled enough through the province. it's just huge. if you're from (or have visited) cavite, share with me your thoughts on the provine, and the places you've seen. as for me, i think my favorite place will always be my hometown, silang. the barrios' names are both odd and cute, and the people everywhere are generally warm and pleasant. second favorite is tagaytay city. picture perfect, cold and peaceful (not in a crime-free way; it just sends you this positive vibe the minute you start looking at taal volcano and the lake within a lake).

taal volcano - a view of the taal volcano from the hills of tagaytay
I have been to cavite a lot of times, the first was when we visited a house warming party in Bacoor cavite, a fiesta in Alfonso. Then a birthday party of a friend in Imus, lately a trip back and forth to Silang to visit a friend of my mom. Also we often go to Tagaytay for a picnic, to eat at the bulaluhan overlooking the taal volcano on the way to Batangas.

oh, it's really great to eat at bulaluhans there, especially if you're with a bunch of friends who are looking to kill time and just hang out, enjoy the scenery and breathe fresh air. it's also great to tour around a cavite on a bike. in tagaytay, you would feel some icy crystals kissing your cheeks, so cold and nice!

You can also try the Digman halo-halo in Talaba, Bacoor. It's a famous halo-halo, which i think, go way, way back in the 80s -- not sure of the history! :) When you enter the street, you'll be amazed with all the stores which claim that they are the FIRST Digman halo-halo store there.

Hi! I'm from bacoor, cavite. I've lived here since i got married in 1992. I love this place, except for the heavy traffic that i encounter daily on my way home from my office. But i really enjoy the refreshing views whenever we go to Tagaytay, and since it's just a 30 to 45 mins drive, whenever we get the chance we go to Pink Sisters to hear mass (have you been there?) --- it's a convent where you get to write down your prayer requests and the sisters will pray over it --- a lot of people go there every Sunday.

Yeah, I've been to Pink Sisters -- a wonderful, serene place. I took some photos of the place when we were there, and I could say simply looking at the photos are relaxing enough :)

Cavite has many wonderful sights to offer and some enchanting falls also. Once said, a quiet place to live and a qiuet place for salvage killings. Known by the trademark of a Carbine with Cavite's name etched on it. I'm from bacoor and lived here from almost 24 years now, though I don't travel much here

I live near Cavite and my favorite places are the following: 1. Ternate - I love the beaches of Puerto Azul and Caylabne. 2. Tagaytay - Love the food, the gardens and restaurants! This is the ultimate romantice hideaway.

I'm from Cavite too, I reside in Imus. Kinda nice environment though. What I only hate on Cavite is the one-way traffic they are implementing. It's kind of frustrating especially when you're late for school.

Arlene_27, I live in Bacoor, Cavite. Cavite is known as the historic province of the Philippines. It is rich in history. Try to take a visit to the towns of Imus, Kawit and Bacoor and you can find so many historical landmarks. Also, don't forget to visit Cavite City as well. You can also cross Manila Bay and take a look at Corregidor Isladn, one of the barangays of the city.

I have also lived in Cavite for two decades (was actually born in Cavite) before moving to Metro Manila for about 7 years. I have since returned to Cavite and have been residing (and working) here now for the past 9 years [Oooppss.. age shows]. I have resided in the towns of Dasmarinas (Palapala) and Silang (Biga). Indeed, Cavite is a huge place and one is lucky to be able to visit every town and city in the province. I recall the time when portions of Cavite would be referred to as "upland Cavite" and "lowland Cavite" (I rarely hear those terms nowadays). I have been to and have spent most time in the areas of Cavite where Aguinaldo Highway cuts across (Bacoor, Imus, Dasmarinas, Silang up to Tagaytay). The only towns in Cavite that I think I have NOT been to are Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo and Magallanes (not sure though, maybe passed by them when going to the other towns/ places).

i was employed then in an accounting firm. Me and other members of the engagement team used to go to Silang, Cavite yearly when tax season nearly comes. i like the climate there..people don't need an airconditioning unit because it is so cold at night and i like the place coz it's only 15 mins. away from Tagaytay City.

I also live in Cavite, Tagaytay to be exact. Im proud of the place. Also I used to live in Bacoor, near the place of the famous Digman halohalo. I think the only place in town where they sell halohalo and balot at the same time. Find it weird also to find balot during daytime since its most commonly sold at night.
