I just wish when they get these facts that they would use the information wisely. There are still so many companies who have to lay people off. I think they could prevent so much loss.

I never knew the stats for this but I work for the Federal Goverment(don't hold it against me) and every year we fill out questionaires about how they are doing and what ideas we have. Also are bosses are always open to our suggestions and if it is a good one will go to their boss with the idea. The person who came up with the idea aways gets the credit too.

Well if only we could post take up everywhere because so many times I believe I have a good suggestion for a business and they tend to not wish to listen. I think that should be a good indication that the people who work the business know far more than the ones that sit around collecting the profits.

I wonder if and how many actualy use this concept? If I had to save a company , I would want to hear what the workers had to say about everything. I would want to talk to them and read what they wrote and be fair in evaluating their opinions.

I am a bit shocked at the number but not the idea. I mean I knew that employee suggestions had to help but I didn't realize how much.
It makes sense though, since the employees are th ones out there in the day to day operation of the business and they notice things. Usually it is something that makes their job easier but if it saves the company money then great.
You just can't successfully run a business like that without getting into the trenches and seeing how things actually work.
I do think that companies should listen to their employees and really look inot any suggestions that they make.

If they would have known this a long time ago, it may have saved all the companies who went out of business. I hope more companies are using this information now.

Maybe this is more on the private companies.... Capitalist are there to earn more and never think of their employees who are doing more of the hard works.... oppssss sorry for those who are good employers who happen to be rare. So the government should have to be strict in implementing rules and regulations about the wages.

I'm not surprised at all. What is surprising is that more companies don't have systems in place to cultivate suggestions from their employees. I'd also like to know what percentage of employee suggestions are actually acted upon. 1 in 5? 1 in 20? 1 in 100?

I agree with you. I dont think most of them ever look at the true facts, The exceptions are few and far between. They are learning the hard way. ciao

That is a really wonderful statistic! I wish that more companies would hear about this. I'm certain that it would get them to listen to and take their employees' suggestions far more seriously than some companies probably do. Thank you for sharing this information! ^_^

I like loking at the sites that give out this kind of information. Its not always in the regular paper or making front line news. Its just good news and good for everyone to know.

I dont doubt it at all. Company heads are so out of touch with their employees that it is sad. Employees are the ones who sees the ups and downs.

I wonder if they ever look into any of this? We always see that the people in charge tend to want the only say so. It just seems it really pays to listen sometimes. That is a great deal of money.
