do you think more kids would be more focused on studying if television and videogames were not around? most kids now would prefer spending their time in front of the television watching or playing video games. it eats most of their time leaving nothing for studying or doing homeworks. a lot of parents believe that kids would do better in school if these modes of entertainment were not around. so some restrict their child from watching tv or playing videogames during school days. what do you think? what is your stand about this?

I think if you eliminate the TV and video games, most kids will normally play outside with friends. I grew in a no-pc age (we don't have pc back then), But we have TV. However, I only watch before 6pm as I recall it. I normally play outside our house, bikes, basketball, going to other streets (age: 8 to 12).
Nowadays, most parents would prefer their children to watch educating TV rather than playing outside. The reson is first, it is dangerous nowadys and their kids might be influenced by bad friends and the like.
