Being as I've never been to an all girls school I'd still have to say a mixed school might be more social, especially after school. I would only assume that being in a single gender school would make it harder to communicate with the opposite gender. It's hard enough being in a mixed school and being around guys all the time and having guy friends, but never being in school with guys would make me shy around them for sure.
When I have kids they'll go to a mixed public school. My husband (who ever he may be) will have to try really hard to convince me otherwise. It's a more open minded environment, at least in my opinion. My friend goes to an all girls school, she's not shy around guys but I still feel that way. I like the mixed culture in my school though. We have all sorts of cultures, preferences, and all around ideologies surrounding the classrooms. It may be the same but as I said, I don't really know what a single gender class is like.

My experience do suggests the same. Guys in boys school don't make good friends for me always!

Definately a mixed school. I think that people who send their kids to a mixed school up until a certian age have issues adapting when they get out of that school. Where I live it is a tradition for boys to go thorugh a mixed school up until 5th or 8th grade, then go to an all male school (this is because many of the residents are Catholic and the majority of the Catholic schools are boy or girl only). I think this causes kids to not adjust well to their surroundings. Growing up I found that the kids who went to all girl or all boy schools seemed to party more than those who wne to mixed schools.

this is true. Mixed schools prepare the child to behave wheather with a girl or with a boy. They become more compatible and more understanding develop in them. Coz they are exposed to each gender and not the only there own, whereas if a child is in the same gender school he may find a little bit difficult to mix in the outside world...

ya i do think the same..well coeducation are the way to explore yourself there you can have a envoirnment where you get every sort of knowledge either its on the part of boys or girls..if your school is not coeducation then you will feel shy with your partner after life and relation would not get that much strong which it should be after marriage..so i would seny my kid in a mixed school..
