Lets have a civilized discussion on this one. Character attacks and blantant misspellings will be negatively rated. Rudy once again is a great leader. However, he is too inexperienced when it comes to international politics. Rudy did a wonderful job leading a broken and battered city, but I am not sure this can translate effectively into the most powerful position. Rudy once again is fiscally conservative, but is pro choice which is an automatic turn off for me. I fear he will be too generous on immigration also which will lead to a downfall in our society. I do believe he is the best alternative to beat Hillary or Obama, but I can't say for certain I would vote for him ever.

I agree he does have too much baggage, and he would never get my vote in a primary.

I can't see him getting the nomination. The conservatives will tear him up (behind the scenes, probably) for his pro-choice, pro gay rights, pro immigration stands. He's remembered for his great leadership after 9/11, but before that a lot of New Yorkers were tiring of his combative attitude, his nasty public divorce, etc. He can get pretty testy when provoked, which wouldn't look good in a debate or press conference.

I like Rudy but as you said, he doesn't have enough experience. He needs to first get into the national scene if he ever wants to be president. Try senator or congressman, even govenor. Mayor just doesn't cut it. He did an admirable job during 911 but I'm afraid he is just not ready to take on the presidency just yet.

I think he has been tested under the worst circumstances. I think he is strong enough to be a very capable president. If he can do so much for that city, I believe he can do it for all cities. I think he could easily be elected.
