Does the question of religion bother you?

The aim of all religions is generally good. Different interpretations to suit personal agendas make a religion seem good or bad for those who don't understand. I personally take each and every question as it comes. because every human has a right to his/her/its own opinion, the abusers and the rabble rousers and the bible thumpers and the non-believers just don't understand that they are trampling over others feelings by airing their negative opinions about something that is very personal to each person.

It is the freedom of speech. Sometimes it is not pretty, we tend to hurt each other with what we say and do. We just need to take the time to think about what the effects are from our words.

Thanks for your response! Yes we must take time out and ponder and keep our religion to our own selves, and not let others differences in beliefs effect our day to day conduct with them.

there is nothing to bother about the religion as it does not matter as we cannot live or even think of about a life without a friend. what ever may be the religion we don't consider just we do friendship.

Well, that is good for you. The only time it bothers me is when a person tries to impose their bliefs upon me and try their hardest to say that what they say about it is right, there isn't any other way but that way. It is like I can't have an alternative at all about what I think.

I spoke of religion, not superstition in my discussion. I don't think anyone is qualified to call a religion fake, or 'damn' anything. In any case, thanks for your response.

It doesn't bother me at all. Each one of us is entitled of our own opinion and besides i don't go around and convince people to my faith. I rather that they come out to me and ask questions about my faith because they have seen goodness in my way of life.

No, questions about religion don't bother me especially if they are sincere and honest. What is annoying are people who seem to ask questions but the truth is they want to shrove their beliefs down your throat and are completely closed minded and not open to the possibility that they maybe wrong. Questions raised in the atmosphere of friendly dialogue are most welcomed.

Religion is essentially the practice of those who have no faith. Faith is not holding onto beliefs that make you comfortable, it is not looking for others who agree with you, and it is not worshipping something outside yourself. Faith is being...without the need for a support structure or set of beliefs. Faith is letting go of fear...Faith is believing in Yourself (the one thing that IS absolutely connected to God) Religion is the fastest way possible to forget your connection to the mind that Created You and Is You.

Hi Not it doesnt! Providing it is not rammed down my throat, not a problem! I believe there is a GOD or a Supreme Maker, or whoever. I belive that when I die, I will have to account for my time here on Earth. Sometimes I think HE will not like what he sees!! But you have to get on with life! Hopefully, I will go to Heaven! Who know?

Each and everyone of us has his/her belief. People get to be sensitive when it comes to their religion. There no such thing as the right religion or the wrong religion. Its just a matter of accepting things that we have different beliefs whats imposrtant is that we respect what other believe in and in that way they will respect ous we dont have other choice but to coexist so that there would peace.

It doesn't bother me at all. I am a muslim and I feel really happy when people ask me so I can see that they have tolerance and respect towards my religion. Religion shouldn't be bothering question anyway. Everybody have beliefs and almost all of us believe in GOD, so the most important thing is to respect each other and don't mind the other stuff...:) thank you ^^

no the religion never bothers me, as i do respect all the religion i myself follow islam, bit i think people has the right to follow there own, each religion has asame message of unity and peace, all the holy books bible, Quraan, Geeta if u really understand them well they guides the human being to leave asa human and worship god , all of them say to respect the nature and be freindly with all the creatures created by god. each of us has to die one day and meet god, so where does the religion stand, final destiny of each one of us is same ...

The question doesn't bother me mostly because i'm open to all forms of religion and i don't believe that one religion is superior to another. Everyone should understand and respect each others religion although i know its not always possible especially if you've been brought up with a single thought instilled by your parents that your religion is the only true religion. I don't mind a discussion about religion because it gives me an opportunity to learn more and increase my knowledge and thats always a bonus.

'Bullying' questions are never welcome by any religious group, but we are all capable of ignoring them. Every religious group has been persecuted by somebody else in some way at some time. I personally am of the opinion that my faith is my personal business. If someone else really wants to know, they'll ask me politely, just as I would and do when I want to know more about someone else's faith or opinion.

Everyone has there own beliefs and own opinion about whether they believe or dont. Sometimes i think we should just keep things to ourselves instead of hurting other people that believe something different.

Yeah when discussing about the religion ,it bothers me.Because I feel it is an unnecessary discussion and it creates only different views and some extreme love for motherland/own religion and some hatred feelings for the other..So I feel leave the poeple how they feel about their religion and no questioning about it..

I believe in God, yes. I don't go to church, however. Growing up I had gone to several churches. We'd dress up, go to church, sing a few songs, pass the offering plate around 3-4 times (always for something different), the Preacher would talk for 15 minutes, we'd sing some more and go home. Took 2-3 hours total, most of which was singing and passing around the offering plate. You can't pave your way to Heaven with money, and frankly I got tired of it. Every church I ever went to was the same. I'm sure there are others out there that don't work this way (before someone starts telling me about them) but I haven't wanted to look. I also don't like going somewhere where someone preaches to me how I should live when they don't live by what they preach. Some churches like to look down on people for whatever (being a single mother {must have been living in sin}, parenting skills and so on) and I don't want to have to try to be accepted somewhere by people who want to judge me. They aren't better than me and I don't like being made felt inferior. If you don't believe in God, I believe that's your choice. I do believe and I feel that is my choice. Don't harass me because I celebrate Christmas, Easter and other religious holidays. Don't try to take Christmas away from me. You don't celebrate, that's fine, but I have the right to, if I chose. I won't cram it down your throat if you don't try to cram your non-belief down mine. If you go to Church, that's your choice and I'm happy if you're happy. I'll talk about God if you want, just don't preach to me and don't try to drag me to your church. I don't poo-poo for people who want to talk about religion as long as they aren't trying to cram their religion down my throat. People that knock on my door, that I don't know, and start off with "Do you believe in God" when I answer it, drive me crazy! Probably more info than you wanted, huh? :)

I think it is very wrong to blame the non-believers for this. We would never bring up the subject of religion if it was not for the bible bashers trying to convert us. Lets face it, the Christians are the first to admit that it is their job to preach the words of Jesus in order to acquire more followers to their cause. This is what we strongly object to. The second thing we object to is their stubborness in refusing to accept any idea about the theory of the Big Bang or evolution. Why must we listen to them and respect their idea when they flatly refuse to listen to anything we have to say?

Hello, I think even the Muslims want to convert the world to Islam. As far as accepting the big bang or anything else, well that is their personal choice and no one can force someone to believe something they don't want to.

I am from India too, and I did not know what a backward caste was until I applied for admission to a college and did not get a seat inspite of my marks being far higher than many of the others who did get it. It was only then that I realized that a person in India can be punished for the alleged sins of his forefathers, though in the case of my community, we had given up casteism more than 225 years ago. There is too much of reverse casteism now. I am glad to know that your father has worked hard and progresed in life and that you are too. I wish you all the best in life. I think there should be no castes or differentaitors of any kind between humans, only abiltiy. I think you and I have both digressed from my thread, but still thanks for your resposne!

Actually casteism is a classic case of misuse of religion to suit individual agendas. For example Eklavya had to lose a thumb so that Arjuna remained the best archer, which was Drona's agenda.

Religion some liberal minded people belive is opium of the people which i belive is okay for them. But personally,i have com to discover that religion is as old as the creation of man .However, there has always been the problem of sin: S for self i for in n for nature hindering man from serving God acceptably.Man is full of self which God hates. Let somebody tell us the way out of this greatest problem of man -sin
