I want to know what everyone's favorite dish to prepare is. Not only that, I want to know if you make it from scratch or use cheat. I think one of my favorites it fettucine alfredo, and usually the only thing that is premade is the noodles, and that's only because I haven't learned to make them yet.

My favourite dish to prepare and to eat is Deep Fried Eggs. It's easy to make and it's full of protein and I eat that a lot while watching tv, whenever I get the munchies etc. I usually use 2 eggs, a lot of oil. Heat up the oil and pour the eggs in and it starts to pop and fizzle and stuff. I wait til the sides are crispy and leave the yolks runny..then I'll take it out without draining the oil (i like it like that) and pour Oyster sauce on top and add fresh cut chillies and spring onions! YUM! Oh good lord, I'm hungry again thank you very much!

Somehow man, that just doesn't surprise me. Bachelor? lol I've found the Healthy Choice "TV dinners" are great for those of us bachelors who are feeling too lazy to cook but still want something good for us.

There is something to be said for simple. One of my favorite things, when I'm just cooking for me, is a small steak (4-6 oz), steamed broccoli or spinach with lemon juice over the top, and a small salad.

I love to make homemade soups and will make a soup out of anything handy.. chicken, burger, ham, beef, moose, fish, sausage, bacon, bean and of course leftover soup :D
Almost all soups get served with a glop of sour cream and a bunch of grated cheese (kind depends on the type of soup) in the bottom of the bowl and then the hot soup added...
okay.. now i'm hungry.. lol...

I like making veggie stirfry. It's easy AND from scratch. I buy bags of frozen vegetables for only $1 each and saute them with a little oil, garlic, and soy sauce. I cook some brown rice and put the veggies on top. Sometimes I cut up some tofu and bake it with soy sauce and throw them into the veggies.
I also like making veggie stew because I can just throw everything (whatever ingredients I happen to have) into a big pot and let it cook. Also, it makes lots of leftovers.

We bought a pasta machine years ago and since then storebought pasta is not an option. We use our breadmaker to kneed the dough (is that cheating?). As my boys grow, pasta production by batch seems to double each year.
From that base, a range of sauces to cater to the vegetarian, the seafood lover, and the beef eater. All made up from scratch.
Savoury crepes called dosai is another from scratch production in our family.
Mixed veggie and fruit juices, apple sauce, and tomato puree are just a few other examples of what i enjoy making from scratch.
There's a whole lot more but you'd probably wonder if that's all I do in life - PREPARING FOOD FROM SCRATCH! lol

I love sea food, and I love to cook anything with fish. Sometimes I just make some rice and fish curry. Occassionally I fry fish (though not adviced by my dietician) and eat it with bread. When I cook, I go for the eleborate process. Otherwise, I just don't cook and eat out.

i havent really got a favorite but i do likeworkingwith pasta and a lot of other things i like, sometimes i just like to make a concoxion of my own ive been doing it for yrs now so i generally know what things taste goodwith other things i wil lgive an example:
a good cheese sauce will have 1/4 of a teaspoon of English mustard in it, i know a lot of people dont like mustard and english mustard is quite strong but the idea is it brings out the taste of the cheese in the cheese sauce, if you do it correctly you wont taste the mustard at all but if you go too much your cheese sauce will turn into a mustard sauce lol.

I LOVE to cook. It's hard to say just one thing that is my favorite to prepare. I make a mean spaghetti and meat balls. All from scratch (except the spaghetti noodles of course). But I guess dish I am most proud of would have to be my Beef Enchiladas! Mmmm... yummy!

PASTA!
If I have time I make it from scratch, if quite busy, I use instant sauces for the pasta and just heat them!
hahaha...
