Last night the neighbors threw a huge party.
This party went on all night long. Slammimg doors, hollering and loud music and noises.
cars everywhere,, big keg of beer,,,but that wasnt enough for them. They were outside in the yard- front yard- urinating..
My husband had to raise the window and holler at them to stop because it was all blasting our side of the house where our bedroom is.The paarty didnt end untill 5 am this morning.

i wonder why can't neighbors be sensitive about the feelings of other people. they should atleast respect their neighbors and think that people need time to sleep, too.
what happened to your neighbor's party was so so way beyond the line. you should have called for someone's help like police maybe to shut them up. it's okey maybe if they were just up singing songs and talking. but slamming doors, hollering and too much loud music is so annoying. i hope that won't happen to you again.

It drives me crazy when people do that. I mean, sure! Have a party! Have a great time! But be considerate... it's NOT hard. I tell my neighbors, in advance, if we're entertaining so they can expect the extra cars, more noise than usual, etc. and we keep the party indoors after 10PM.
At my first house, the couple next door had a teen son who used to party hard when his parents were away. We didn't care. We'd just try to keep an eye out that nothing inappropriate was going on and no fighting and such. One night, though, we had a brand new baby (who I had FINALLY coaxed to sleep) and they had one heck of a party. They were screaming until all hours, drunk guys were laying in our front yard and more drunk guys climbed up the fence that divided our properties and they were sitting on top of our shed drinking! My husband yelled out to the kids on the front lawn to keep the party at their own place and they laughed at him and didn't budge. So we called the police. I suspect other neighbors had called too because they showed up really fast.
I'm willing to tolerate quite a bit -- I mean, everyone has the right to have some fun, especially in their own home. But when, as in your case, the party spills over into the neighbor's yard and even causes damage, it's time to put a stop to it. I hope you get a nap today ;)

your not kidding about the nap, two hours sleep isnt much to run on. I am mainly concerned that if the kegs are not empty, that they will be kicking up their heels again tonight. I am not going to loose another nights sleep so it will be time to call the police.

and they didn't invite you, i don't mind mad partys as long as i'm invited. Just get them back by having a huge party of your own

This is so rude and inconsiderate. And the worst thing is that usually you have no recourse. Even if you call the police to end the party because it's after 11pm, the neighbors usually get an attitude and then you live with that next door. I don't understand why people can't be considerate of others. Why do they feel the need to impose their parties on an entire neighborhood? I used to have neighbors like this when I was living in an apartment, and it happened 1-2 times every month. Of course the apartment management did nothing about it, just as the police probably would be ineffective in this case. Well, you should be tired and sleep well tonight, anyways!

I really dont think it would have mattered to them. They just dont realize that some people have to work on saturday mornings. I have to get up early and work after being kept awake most of the night.

We had neighbors who had a party. They hired a DJ and had the music blasting so loud you could hear it blocks away. My husband called the police at around 12:30 that night. A policeman went to their house and asked them to please be quiet. They were quiet for about 15 minutes after the police officer left, but then they just started right back up again! Well, my husband called the police back again at around 1:30 am. They were so loud, that the dispatcher who answered the phone could hear them over the phone. So another police officer was sent, and this time the party was over. I just don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate of their neighbors. If you are going to through a big bash like that (it was the wife's birthday) hiring a DJ and everything, then rent a hall! Don't have it at your house.

That is ridiculous. You should have called the police. There is no way you and your other neighbors should have to put up with that till all hours of the morning. I know how that can be...we had a horrible neighbor like that...partying all the time. We didn't put up with it..and phoned our landlord. He caught them in the wee hours in the middle of a thier party..she finally moved...We were soooooo happy and relieved. No more parties and stress..and harrassment....

there is quiet this morning because their heads hurt and they needed sleep. Now lets hope they finished off the keg of booze because if not theyll be trying to have another party tonight.

Wow I didn't think too many partied (especially that kind of partying) on a thursday night?? It wasn't enough that they were hollering, slamming doors, playing loud music, but they had to urinate publicly as well? Did anyone call the cops on them? I know that a party like that wouldn't survive in my neighbourhood, one of the older people would've called the cops.

I will if it happens again. I dont want to be unfair and not give them a chance to correct their mistakes. I think it may have taught them a lesson. I did see some parents show up the next day and they didnt look too happy.

Oh that is most inconsiderate of your neighbours.
I have been at parties that have gotten out of control like that and I just leave and go home because I don't care to do that to neighbours.
The last time I left a party like that the cops arrived just minutes after I left and I was glad I wasn't there.
I had a neighbour that liked to have a party every now and then but he was such a good neighbour he always told us when a party was happening and would come over frequently to see if it was too loud. A really nice neighbour. :)
I would be giving them a warning and as a neighbour that should be respected otherwise the police will visit them. It may make for some hurt feelings for a while but they will know that you won't put up with it.

The biggest thing is them leaving and driving drunk. I am afraid they will have a wreck or run over someone or crash their cars. I also think that they may not know how much they have drank or the effect it will have on them.

I don't think it was such a big deal as long as they don't do it every week end. We all have parties of some sort now and then and I am sure your neighbors get annoyed with yours too... Maybe suggest to them to have them over earlier than 5 am which is quite the party...
As for urinating in the front yard that I would have to say something about...lol Did they respond when your husband yelled at them ??? probably couldn't hear him over the music ..lol
Hopefully you won't have to deal with such any more...

they did apologize but the party continued on throughout the night. I know if it kept us up that it also kept up the other neighbors and I dont know if anyone called the police or not. You dare not look out the window unless you want to watch them watering the grass and flowerbeds...

That would be really irritating! I had that happen once with one of my neighbors, and we thought we could smell pot as well. You wouldn't expect to hear this from a teenager, but I would suggest if it happens again calling the police. That is so disrespectful to all the neighbors, and I'm sure you weren't the only one annoyed. Also, chances are there may have been underage drinking and you don't want that going on either.

Oh My God that was so rude! Good thing I haven't experienced it here in the Philippine maybe you should start putting up signs at the entrance of your house like " don't urinate here" or "party until 10:00 p.m. only"

exactly, noone needs to wake up everyone in town all night long. I hope they will not do it anymore. Its like they are away from their parents and now they are cutting loose.

It wouldnt be so bad if it wernt for the fact that they dont have a quit time, and also because they all end up outside and loud.

this is very rude and disgusting!! I wonder how could you put up with them without calling the police! isn't all the violations that they've done against the law? if I were you, I would call the police, let them stay in their house, and cut off the noise.. sometimes as neighbours we can respect eachother's times of joy and celebrations as well as time of crisis and grief.. but when they get so far and show no respect or concideration, they must be stopped!!

Why didnt you call the cops?? I would have asked them to mellow out/keep the noise down and I would give them two chances and if they didnt I certainly would have called the cops! Thats b.s! I'm all for ppl having get togethers and i am all too familiar with things getting kinda loud but when you live in an area where you are close to your neighbours you NEED to keep their comfort level etc in mind and be sensible

Didn't anyone call the police? Well, if it happened for the first time, maybe you should just let it go. However, if it had been happening constantly, it's time to talk to your neighbors I think.

Do you live in the city or a small town the town and or city should have a noise curfew.
I think it is very sad when neighbors have a wild party and give no regards to their neighbors who are trying to sleep that is so disrespectful.
If I was you I would had called the police and had them go over and told them to keep it down.

If you live in the US, you should have called the police. They will tell your neighbor to stop the noise. Why tolerate such insanity?
