I get an average of 5 hours a night. I am up very late at night and then I am back up at 6 am. So, I don't get as much sleep as recommended. But I a used to not sleeping much because I have always been a night person. I am slow and sluggish in the morning even when I do get a bit more sleep.

My sleep varies, have to think,,,,, about 8 hours average I think. I get to bed by 10 or 11 p.m. and am usually up by 7 a.m. I get up with daylight mostly. No matter what time I head to bed I am up with day light! We seem to have similar times of sleep!

8 hours a day sounds like the appropriate time for full recovery in order to face a brand new day of hard work, if you ask me.

I always shoot for 7-8 hours of sleep. If I do not get that much, I get really cranky and fussy.

I wish I had the luxury of sleep. I only have 5-6 hours of sleep and I would be spending the rest either studying or working.
