Hi emilieespino, I think crying just lets out the emotions in us like a release valve, whether you cry because you are sad or happy. Personally I usually get a headache after a good cry so not sure if it makes me feel better or not! I guess it all depends on the situation as to why you're crying!

I find that crying does make me feel better. People who never cry, are all bottled up inside, and one day or another, it will come out. I cry mostly tears of joy, for i haven't had much sadness in my life lately, thank God. A lot of things make me cry, like weddings, births, etc. I cried at my own wedding, althought i had swore to myself i wouldn't! But when i saw my husband to be, standing on the altar, waiting for me, and two big tears just rolled down his cheeks when he finally saw...that was just too much! So, yeah, i cried!

We are the same -- I am quite emotional too. Just seeing a pic of my late parents make me cry; receiving an unexpected gift makes me cry; watching my grandchildren makes me cry. In short I'm such a cry baby. haha. Thanks for your comment.

I cry for many different reasons, Sometimes it is happy tears while other times it is sad. During my pregnancy with my daughter I was an emotional wreck. I cried over little things and now I think back about it and laugh.

Yes I do laugh at myself too when I remember the silly things I have done, crying over a minor mishap.

Usually a good cry makes me feel better. I don't cry very often, most of mine are 'happy tears.' When I cry out of frustration, I almost always get a headache and a stuffy nose afterwards. At times though, crying is a good tension reliever.

It does make me feel better. Tears of joy are great they seem inflate the good feeling. Tears of sadness and for me also tears of rage makes me feel as if I had a shower inside and it cleansed me.

That's true. We cry too because we are happy and feel blessed and touched I guess. Crying is a gift of God to release one's emotion. We should should it as well. It a relief to me once I cry. I cry out when I can't bear anymore the sadness and afterwards I feel better. I am thankful that we have the ability to cry or else I'll go insane of all the problems that I've been going through lately. Personally and in school problems.

CRYING...hmmmmmm
The dictionary says its a emotional breakout for some time.According to me if we cry we can release some useless strain and pressure out of our body.
BY CRYING OR SMILING we waste
14-40 Calories of energy.
This waste of energy makes us healthy. If you cry outta happiness then we waste more calories than when we cry outta sadness.Crying is natural and everyone cries for some reason or the other. The person who cries can either feel better or worse.
According to emilieespino crying makes her feel better but for someone else it will be disturbing.

I feel that crying is a release of emotion that we all need from time to time. It has often made me feel a lot better. It's kind of like getting online and venting to a good friend about a problem makes you feel better.. just getting it out of your system is sometimes what is needed almost as much aa a solution to your problem, or a solution to the reason why you feel like crying. It just helps to let it all out, methinks.
And you're right, we can also cry tears of joy when we are really relieved and happy about something. That also must serve a purpose, although it's a bit more difficult for me to see it *laugh*

I definitely feel that crying helps a lot. If you have so much going on and everything is getting to you there is nothing better than a good cry. It just lets it all out and I definitely feel so much better.
