Should mylot add an edit option to discussions you have started?

Yes, there should be an edit button, sometimes when you typed really fast you will not notice that there's a typo on your post.
But since myLot don't have that feature yet, I got a real-time spell checker in my Firefox browser, so I know If I have a typo before I post it.

Honestly, I don't remember where I got the spell checker, maybe it's a built-in feature of Firefox 2

I think they should give you a final chance to edit before you post it I guess but not after it's actually been posted, that way people would try and get away with all kinds of things! I usually read through mine a couple of times before I hit the post button, might be worth double checking before hand or even typing it out in word, scanning for spelling mistakes then cutting and pasting into here?

yesterday i almost posted a discussion with this same topic...i think it's necessary that we can edit our own posts...at least for about 5 minutes after they're posted, that way we'd save redundant posts etc and the quality would be better.
other sites i've been to have this option so i hope that our admins here in mylot listen to our suggestion

Thanks for your response Lightnin Now i have updated to the new version of mozilla with the built in spell check i am finding things alot easier, but still i think an edit option is a necessary addition, and I'm not sure why they don't have one

well willo, sometimes things are not come up with until someone else suggests them, so let's hope that someone who has the power to do something about it reads this discussion you started. It would be very benefitial for us all.
However, i still believe that the editing option should only last a couple of minutes, or 5 maximum, like in other sites like opendiary. Otherwise you create a discussion, you get 40 replies and then you change the reason to all those replies? the guys who replied might not like the new text, so that should be avoided...it's enough with a couple minutes to correct any possible mistake.
