What do you think of this? My daughter was at the airport, and went to the bathroom to change her baby. When she got to the bathroom,a lady had her suitcase and all her makeup on the baby changing table. My daughter asked the lady if she could please pick up her suitcase and all her makeup so she can change her baby. But the lady kept putting on her makeup. My daughter was so mad,she had to lay a blanket on the floor and change her baby. Dont people no what a changing table is? What would you have done if this would happen to you?

I would have been pretty upset, as well. I mean, I don't actually have children, but I would never use a changing table for something else unless it was an emergency. And even so, if someone else needed the table, I would certainly clear off as quickly as i possibly could and also apologize profusely for having been in their way! ^_^ After all, that is what a changing table is for. It was incredibly rude of that woman to just keep putting on her makeup and cause your daughter to hav to lay a blanket on the floor to change her child! That makes me sad, that we live in a world where someone would consider doing that to someone else. I'm sorry :/

First of all my children never liked those tables and I was concerned about them as well. I developed a way to change them standing up so that we could do it with out the possibility of falling or subject ourselves to possible germs. In my case this would not have been an issue with me. The ornery part of me might have struck up a converstation and then mentioned all the bio hazards her make up was in contact with!

I never had to use one of those tables as I used to sit on a chair and place my child across my knee.

That was totally rude and uncalled for. I probably would of swept all her crap onto the floor...I know that's not the right thing to do, but neither was what she was doing. If I would of been your daughter, I would of taken the baby's dirty diaper an put it face down on all her stuff. That's so mean....I know...sorry. People are so rude and inconsiderate.

I'll tell you now what I'd have done. The lady was asked ONCE to move her makeup off the baby changing table. Once is all she should have been asked. I'd take her makeup off the table and fire it across the floor for her. No way would I have put my baby on the floor. God that makes me MAD!!!

You know, I love this response too, and depending on my mood, I wouldn't be surprised if I did that too lol. But you have to think too, here's your baby in your arms, and you're starting a fight lol.

I agree here with hockeygal4ever! Why would this woman want to put her personal care items and suitcase on a table where babies lay down to get their hinnies changed? There is waste and urine specimen all over this changing seat. WTF was she really thinking?

WHOA, I would have gone off on the lady. I would have first, bugged the crap out of her about it, and if she still didn't move, gone and gotten airport security. I can't believe a WOMAN would make someone lay their baby on a public restroom FLOOR. I am apalled by this!

I agree totally with you, thats plain rediculous that she didn'y move her make-up. I think I would of moved in close and laid my baby next to her stuff and hoped that he had messed his pants and maybe she would move. Or, after your daughter changed the diaper on the floor I would of kindly laid the dirty diaper with her make-up

Some people are just plain rude. I think she should have moved it. Some people just dont care about anyone but themselves. I guess all you could do is wait for her to move her stuff.

I would have told her she was either a little old to be wearing a diaper and needing the changing table. Or I would have asked her what is the best type of adult diapers.

Personally i find this sad that someone doesn't have manors or decency to move. Reminds me of a time i was shopping in a supermarket with my wife and son who was around 5 months old. (the baby changing rooms only a small room and you can only about manage to get a "small" buggie through.) - since who would leave it outside and my son gets upset if either of us aren't there when he's outdoors. anyways. a couple of minutes into starting to change my son someone tried to open the door, which they couldn't open do the ammount of space. (i explained to this guy that my son was being changed and that we wouldn't be long) then all of a sudden the idiot started kicking at the door. i told the guy to back off, because at this stage he had become very offensive towards us. (telling us we need to get out and rubbish like that). in the end a staff member at asda asked the guy to wait for the room to become free. the funny thing was his kid was 5 years old or more! (like your daughter i thought, it's "baby" changing room. not child changing room and all they wanted was a piece of tissue. (i was steaming and i will admit i nearly lost my cool) i didn't because i'm better than him and things which can be waited for. (personally i will) except when i'm hyper trying to post on here.. *Shuts up and goes back to his corner..

I've dealt with worse. =) Your right, there are alot of rude and selfish people. (i try and focus on the good eggs tho) those others arent worth the time. Kudos for sharing yours. (maybe the women could ask the airport for a makeup room) then she can spend 3 hours putting it on and miss her plane! hehe =) joking.

Reading this was like deja vu .. I've been in this situation with one of my boys [although it was a train station] and at the time I just put up with changing him on the floor in the disabled toilets ... which is just gross hygenically. In hind sight there is so much that I wanted to say/do that I didn't ... everything from making a sceen to calling security. In the end I hope that what goes around comes around and she's left in a position where she desparately needs to use something and can't due to someone else using it for what it wasn't intended for.

It is rude when people behave this way. I would have laid my child next to the woman or at least a dirty diaper next to her. I would have made comments to my child about how many diseases there are on the floor and how inconsiderate people like that are and that I hoped I would raise my child to be better than that.

well that lady seem like a very stuck up person, you know, the ones that think that they own the world. I would have told her about herself, but I know that that would have just started more trouble. Sometimes you have excuse people like that because they are crazy and insane.

We all know what a changing table is for..and some choose to use it for other purposes... Which to me I dont really see a problem with it. What I do have a problem with is when she was asked to move her stuff....so that the baby could be changed...she should have been more than happy to do so. Then that just gets down right ignorant..when your daughter is forced to put the baby on the floor on a blanket cause she was left with no other options.... :S Some people eh... I'm not sure what I would have done if I was in the same situation. Probably the same thing your daughter did... what else was there to do...she asked the lady if she could use the table... ??? Crazy

I think a changing table should be used for changing babies, that is why they are put in bathrooms. But you are so right this lady had no common sense at all.

First of all, I think that's totally disgusting and rude. What is wrong with that lady? Serves her right if she got poop on her makeup bag! I probably would've waited for the lady for a little bit and then I would've said you know, you have your makeup on a baby changing table don't you?

That is so rude!! I can't believe how rude and insensitive some people can be. Everybody knows what the changing table is there for, and obviously changing the baby's diaper was way more important than that lady getting her makeup done. :P I've never used a changing table for anything else cause I wouldn't want to get in someone's way who might need it. I think if that happened to me, I'd just be in total shock probably. I can definitely see why your daughter was so upset...that lady was a jerk!

I would never use a baby changing table for putting on my makeup, I would have more sense than that to tie up a changing table for myself by putting on makeup.
