I put hamburger in the crock pot, even frozen, with some beef or chicken broth, whatever I have. After the beef is cooked and about an hour before I want to serve it, I add noodles, orzo, rice, beans, or whatever I have and cook it for another hour. It's always flawless and my family loves it.

Orzo is pasta. It's that little oval or "eye" shaped pasta. It's really versatile. Sometimes I make mac and cheese with it. My little one will eat it, too, so that's an extra bonus!

Anything in one or two pots. A family recipe that is super easy and good is Poorman's Stroganoff. Hamburger meat (browned & drained), can of cream of mushroom soup, 8 oz of sour cream. Mix together and serve over rice or noodles. My husband and I add a can of mushrooms to it.

Do you add anything to it to flavor it at all or anything else?

I was wondering that, too, like if it was a red beans and rice style recipe.

Instant noodles. Just add noodles to boiling water, wait, add flavour, stir and you're good to go. Really easy, inexpensive and fast to make. And they taste great too!

How could you possibly work with all those delicious smells in the houses? It's hard to me to work when I have the crock pot going in my own house! :-)

Yummy! Sometimes there's just nothing better than a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of Campbell's tomato soup!
