Have you ever had a similar experience? Ive been up since 5am preparing, and its only lunchtime now and I am exhausted LOL This mornings interview is for a job I desperately want- trainee manager at a huge retail outlet here in Australia. It seemed to go well, the manager basically said if I didnt get the position at that store, he would be calling me for the same position at one of their many other stores. Next up is a full time position at a supermarket owned by the same chain as teh retail store above. Now, its a group interview, then a single interview and goes for 1 1/2-2 hours. Yawn! Any tips for group interviews? Ive never had one before... Then, another group interview with a competitor supermarket, for a casual position. The recruitment person for this company is so rude and obnoxious Im not even sure I want to work there at all...

Wow, good luck on that group interview, I have only ever been to one, and it was very strange. I had worked for this organization before they did this group thing, anyways, sounds like you have all your ducks lined up. Good Luck!

10 HOURS?!? Wow, thats gotta be a record, for longest interview ever. My four interviews didnt even add up to that much- all up they were under 6 hours. I wonder if anyone else has had such a lengthy interview such as yourself. Im glad you got the job after all that!

Were they spread out over the period of the whole day? Or clustered? Were the two positions for competitors in the telemarketing/call centre fields? Have you heard any more abou the application preocess since you had the interviews? Best of luck to you from me! Any tips you can share in case this ever happens to me again? I would say GET A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP...

Hi, I've just noticed that this was posted 4 weeks ago - have you had any success with your marathon interview day at all?

LOL, I did actually. I got a 20 hour (casual) position at a supermarket around the corner, and I have another interview today (this afternoon) for a full time trainee manager position at a chain department store over here (a different one) This is like my 8 or 9th interview in the last four weeks. One I just missed out on because they had a company member tranfer/relocate down from interstate, so they were obliged to offer them the position. Two I rejected, because I couldnt stand the recruitment officer, and thought it wasnt a good indication... And yeah, I got this one...
