Good for you! I'm glad that you're done with smoking. I've tried to quit so many times, and failed miserably. I don't have the will power or the support system. My husband doesn't like how crabby and moody I get the first couple of days, and I just get so fed up with everything that I walk down the street and buy another pack of smokes.. It's bad.
Some day, I'll be in a place where I can successfully quit, but for now, I don't have the willpower to do it yet. Good for you! You're a strong person.. you'll make it.

I set a date and bought one last pack. Then I smoked a couple a day only when I felt I was going to die if I didn't! Then I was down to 2 a day usually first thing in the morning and after dinner my 2 worst triggers!~ I eat alot of sunflower seeds and hard handy etc... But I am going on 15 days so not bad! I admit I went out to my car yesterday and found 2 halfys I took a couple of drags off of one last night I was stressed and then this morning I smoked one half so kinda backtracked there but after I did it I was sorry I really didn't even want it you know it does taste awful now! I think I have gained about 5 lbs though kinda sucky oh well just gotta keep with it!

Good girl. My husband is too. It's about time because he is 45 and you are still 15 so you make very good decision.
He chews gums or candies when he is under pressure. He is also a tea drinker now, I don't know if this helps but it sure does for him.

It is really hard at first. I quit over a year ago, and I am so happy now. Even now, I get urges to smoke, so I feel it is never ending. However, the cravings are really not that bad anymore, so just stick in there and you will get through it. The toughest time is the first month, so get over that and you are good to go. Good luck, and I am rooting for you!

Kind of depressing to hear that you still have crevings after a year! I thought maybe they would be gone by then!

So did I! It is only when I am stressed out or doing something strenuous outside and I get a smell of smoke. It is not that strong, though, so it really is a lot easier!

Congratulations! I stopped smoking 2 months ago and I was also worried that I could start all over again but I received some good advices and thank God it`s all ok now. You should find a new hobby to keep you busy, read a book,go for a walk or watch a movie... Something that makes you forget about smoking!! :) Good luck!
