Have you ever requested friends with myLot????

We have seen the myLot discussions posted by someone with myLot staff when there is a new alert because they don't want a thousand threads posted on the same alert. Not that is stopped everyone...but that is besides the point.
So, I thought I would check out myLot's profile to see if they have done anything special to their profile...since we have that option to change it. And myLot's rating is only 46! LOL OK, I understand that they are not trying to post and respond to discussions...although they have responded to a few discussions where they thought that they should step in. But I also noticed that they do not have any friends on their profile. Not saying that we should bombard them with friend requests...because they have a lot to do already with all the reporting happening, upgrades in works, and so much more that has them up to their eyeballs in work....they don't need a thousand friend requests on top of that.
But it made me wonder...have you ever requested friends with mylot?
Were you denied or does it sit there infinitely under pending requests?
OR...were you accepted and they just don't show their friends on their profile?

I have not requested friends with myLot and am pretty sure that they probably would not respond or would deny the request since they are not here to post or reply unless situations arise. It would be interesting to find out if anyone else has tried. They are probably too busy to check their friends reply requests, if any were made.

That never occcurred to me. Are you going to do it? I would also put notify on, if I did. I feel like I must have missed something a time or two lately. For instance, the wider format, and then no numbers or stars visible most of the time. And someone has said there is a way to find a percentage on yourself. Do you think if I added myLot as a friend, I would know more. I also have another theory. Maybe myLot considers everyone as their friend, and so does not need to post a friends list. I know I can pm them anytime I like. I do not always get a response, but I do from time to time. The more I think about it, the more I believe that is the correct interpretation.

Great point!!! One has to accept friends in order to receive a private message.
If you search myLot alerts, you will see myLot's profile and be able to look at all the past discussions they created from the alert.
So, if you have missed any, it is a great place to find it. :)

I see so few alerts from Mylot, it never even occurred to me to request them as a friend.
They probably have such a low rating because most people don't rate the alerts(it never occurred to me to do so). The people who DO rate them are probably folks p!ssed off because the alert means they've tightened their discussion standards and those people have lost points!

Their number rating is only 46...which means they do not have a star yet because we do not receive a star rating until we reach 100. LOL
Maybe we will see what their star will be one day...but at this rate, it might take another year. ha ha

What an interesting question! It had never occured to me to try to send a friend request to the Mylot account. I have a feeling that they have too many other things to take care of to deal with friend requests on that account, especially since you already said that they don't have any friends listed on the profile page for the Mylot team. I personally am thinking that a friend request either wouldn't work, or would just sit there indefinitely, if we were to send one to that account. I find it interesting that the Mylot support account only has a 46 numbered star, as well! LOL.. I guess that some people must be marking Mylot with minuses, and how fair is that? They only post to either help or give us answers or post bulletins! Heh. Anyway, thanks for sharing that! You've gotten me intruiged! *laugh*

Good question this one is. Well, I looked at the profile too, and I would assume they would not accept a friend due to the fact it would be a conflict of interest. They have this profile so that they can intervene and post discussions that would alert us to something they want I us know about. Very good question.

Sorry...you misunderstood the question.
myLot meaning they have a profile.
Not myLot as a community.

You know, I have never thought of that one before. I didn't know the staff have that option as well. I haven't come across any of them, I would have requested them to be my friend.

Well I can understand the low rating as they just post when they want to inform members what's going on etc..and I don't see why they would accept friend requests because I highly doubt they reply to discussions, and they won't be posting regular discussions for others to respond to, in other words they'd just be sitting on your friend's list as a decoration!

Thank you for reading it! It seems as if a lot of people think I am just asking if they do friend requests!
I am not saying that I want them to respond to my discussions...just that I want to have them on my friend list. :)
When one joins myspace, Tom is the first friend a person has. Why can't myLot be a person's first friend?
