I, too, am wondering how to get to a perfect score.
I have always strived to be my best and this is just another way the myLot has set another standard for me to try to reach. But nothing I do seems to raise it!
I give long well thought out responses! Even my discussions are not so short...which sometimes can hinder when someone does not feel like reading.
Some say that it is the positive and negative ratings that we are given by the readers. I wish I knew what it was. And if that was so, I wish more people would start rating.
So, I am set....I am rating everyone that I read. And as long as the person gives a well thought out response or discussion, I will give them a positive. Mind you...even if I do not agree with them. Because we all have our own opinions and that is okay.

The only way you can do it I think mytwo_daughters is to stay away from some of the more controversial debate type discussions. However there is a strong possibility that some people will now give negatives, although that might be making some presumptions. I think that the only way the rating and/or star rating can drop is if you get a negative, so instead aim for positive ratings which should counterbalance the other ones.
I saw a discussion earlier on where someone was commenting that his/her star rating had dropped considerably because of something controversial that he said. Now just because people don't agree with the point of view of another that is no reason to give them a negative, as long as they aren't rude I mean. People who are rude, obnoxious or abusive should get negatives but not for politely disagreeing with another persons point of view.
Good luck and I do hope that things improve for you very soon. I will see what I can do to help you along - going up and not down I mean, but please do be nice to me. LOL

yes, someone told me the same thing ossie. Right now because I'm working two jobs, I am responding to those who responded to me, and handing out a few best responses. So y ou are welcome there! I think it was a conversation about abortion that did me in, and because I am not answering many questions, but I will.

mytwodaughter's where do you find your rating? I did not even know about this. I have seen our star's. I think a 94 is pretty good. I will tell you something, I have only given about 4 negative rating, I feel even if someone does not agree with me, they took the time to post something, they should get a + for their effort. I think your great and would give you 100% rating, if it was up to me!!!

you are a 9 red star. Now put your curser over your 9. It should read 91/100. That is your rating. Mine has gone down since I posted this post! I was a 94, now I am an88. So I don't know what happened. Maybe I need to answer some more discussions. I will do that now! Thanks so much for your kind words!

I have dropped from a 10 to a 9 since they started this and I have no idea how it is generated. The new alert today said they had changed how our reputation was figured, but not how it works. I do think we need to all be rating discussions as positive to help out our friends. As long as someone makes an attempt at an answer, and it is longer than one sentence, I always rate them positive. I just hope they take the time to rate me also! LOL

I received an alert from mylot that said the rating we have reflect how the mylot community feels about us. It is not about how a bunch of rouge raters get to negative us to a lower number. So go figure. I give positives whenever I can.

that's terrible aretha. People shouldn't be allowed to rate you a negative simply because they don't like your discussion, or don't agree with you. Keep up the good posting. btw, I usually rate everyone a + unless it is really bad!

I really dont know how the sytstem works.SO all i can say is keep posting and hopefully you will get there.I think it may have something to do with those (+) and (-) over there when people rate your response.I have no clue but dont stress yourself about it.It will be okay and good luck.Take care

Ya man so true just so true
same here no matter what i do i just cant jump over this 85 rating on my star i have tried everything
start discussions and reply as much as possible but no matter what i do, there is this force field that wont let me go past it.
its just so irritating i wanna have a 9 n 10 star rating but i cant have it, its t going above 85, right now its 83.

I just recieved an alert message from myLot awhile ago that the rating system was been stuck several days for some computation and rating matter and now it was working properly because I myself was stuck to 82 and a yellow star and everytime I check it still 82 no matter how many best response I get in 1 day and that made me write to them and asked what seem to be the problem and they send me alert regarding to that rating.
Now I was back to 9 but prior to this 2 weeks ago I was a 10 and knocked down to 7 and eventually trying to earn that 10 rating again.
