You really need to think about this one. Why would a 67 year old woman want to give birth at that age? I was just shaking my head when I heard that an actress at age 44 gave birth to twins.

I feel that 67 is too old to have children, even if it does not have any harmful effect at the time. I think it would be sad for the children because their mom would not live long enough to see them grow up into adults. Plus someone that age will probably not have the energy to keep up with children. I think it is better to have children in a persons 20's or 30's, possibly 40's as well.

I deffantly would not want my own child at 67 way to late in life. Maybe in the 40s as my mom had my sis at age 41 alto she thought it was change of life when Doc told her ha ha After that age no way is it even safe for the woman or the baby all kind of things can go wrong wioth the woman and the baby
I am that age and my daughter has a 2 year old that I take care of dduring the day s that they work. Sometimes I feel al kind of trapped ( not that I dont love her) but I am in house 24 hours a day its like being on call. And I feel like I sould get some alone time

Yikes! Not me thanks! I think that for me 35 would have been the cut off age. Oprah makes being 50 still look pretty good. I could have handled it up untill then. I also know that I would not have had 5 kids then either. Maybe just 1 or 2.

I would consider a woman over 50 years old too old to give birth. But that's JMO. I had both my kids in my 20's.

That is a little bit too old for me and I wouldn't want to have my children at that age. I think anytime around 50 is too old to have kids.

I think every woman has the right to be a mother when she choses to but at 67, thats when i will be thinking of retirement not having another baby.
If she lied about her age, she knew it was wrong. I think we should leave this up to God, when we fall pregnat is fate and when we go through menopause, it the time to give away your dreams of motherhood.
Did she have any other children or is this her first?

I don't think you can tell someone that they are too old to have a baby, though no, personally I would not want to have a child at that age as I don't think that I could give the child what they needed, I'm in my 20's and it can be hard enough now when I'm supposedly full of energy!!!
But what is the right age to have a child, go back in history and it was the norm for women to have children in their teens, I think it does have a lot more to do with what is socially acceptable that what is really right or wrong.

its totall unfair to have kids when you may not be around to raise them. i know the argument could be... who knows what age they will die and this is very true but at 60 or 67 years of age its time to have grandkids, not your own kids.

yes 67 is too old. she lied to the fertility people that she was 50 so she knew she was too old to have kids but had them anyway. very irisponsible. the cut off for fertility treatment is 50. i think the age should be what ever god decides for you. whatever age that you go into medapause should signify time to quit trying.

I would say that 45 is the maximum age...even though i think that it should be reduced to 40. Not only for the possible complications during pregnancy, but also for the fact that if you have kids at such age, by the time they pass teenage you will be an old retired person. And kids need their parents for a longer time, that is how it's been since humans are human.
