my best day thus far!!!!!! what did i do differently?

Well yesterday was my best day yet. I posted no new discussions, I only responded to 35 discussions, I didn't upload any pictures and neither of my referrals were active. So what did I do differently? Well I have taken the advise that has so freely been given out from other mylotters/mylotions. They said if you post a new discussion go and respond to as may discussions as you can, well I didn't start any, but went to my friends discussions and started responding to there questions, I requested some new friends, which brought some new people over also, so they responded to previous discussions, I in turn responded back keeping my discussions current, that is the KEY!!!!! Keeping your discussions current. Please if you are new and reading this discussion, listen to what people have to say, they are truly trying to help you succeed, you will need patience as it seems to be rare to be a newbie with a discussion that takes off. LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN, RESPOND, RESPOND, RESPOND. I hope that this helps, also for any mylotters/mylotions that have been here awhile if you like to leave some more advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone for all the words of incouragement! Oh probably wondering what I made it was $1.76. Not to shabby! More advise please????

I have only been on for a couple of days, so I appreciate your post. I guess that after a while your rating can affect your earnings, too, right? And how many referrals you have?
Thank you for explaining about keeping your discussions current, I have started a couple of discussions, but they are pretty specific.
Maybe I should be more broad in my questions so that more people can participate?

Thank you for your response. I would think for maximum participation the broader the question the morelikely to get the most responses. I also am new, I signed up a week ago yesterday but didn't do anything until Sunday. So from Sun-Fri I am at a total of $6.04, so I think that I'm off to a greeat start. Again it is due to the wonderful advise I have been given and trying to follow. Good luck to you here at mylot!

Not bad at all for 35 posts. And what gives me hope is that you said you didn't do any new discussion posts. And you didn't have any referrals which many people have said is a very big important key role in earning a good amount. Maybe posting with friends is a big helper. Thanks for sharing what you did :)

Thank you for your response. Staying on top of any discussions that are still going or maybe even their closed, if they are still getting responses that it makes a big difference. Rate all responses, reply to all posts!!! Oh and quality responses not quantity as stated above! Good luck to you here at mylot!

For us in Europe, yes it is, because it is an American run site, and the time difference things means we are not updated until 3.00pm, or maybe 4.00pm in the afternoon our time.

At one time, i made 50 posts but only earned me $0.83. Congratulations to you for earning close to $2.0 that day. I would try to do what you did, post QUALITY responses and probably stay out of those irrelevant discussions, i'll try to see the difference.

well, 0.83 is better than what i've earned before i was still starting here. would you believe that i sometimes just earn .05 in a day? hehehe. well, that was 6 months ago. now, i am happier with what i got per day. it takes patience to learn more and more techniques to earn more, too.

Thank you for your response. I have stayed away from subjects that ask "Which do you like better _______ or _____?" I also make sure that each response is more than 3 sentences. I hope that has made a difference, because I could have posted a whole lot more if I had responded to those discussions, lol! Good luck to you here at mylot!

Good job. i'm new here too and i've been listning to everyone's advice. people are very friendly on here and i love the fact that everyone shares their tips. I made $1.78 yesterday. i responded to over 60 discussions and uploaded some pics. Some good advice that i received was to keep up your own discussions. make sure you choose a best response and rate your responses. good luck

I have also been keeping up on my own discussions have closed several out with a best response. Waiting for a few more replys on the others that are still open, comments are still trickling in. Thank you for your response. I don't think that it is a bad strategy, as I also like to check out the discussions with no replys, and newbies as well and try to respond to a few of those also. I think that it can be a good strategy, if you go and make that person a friend also. Reason I'm a newbie and someone just finally responded to my 1st question and requested me as a friend. But I don't think it can be onesided, either. Just my 2 cents. Good luck here at mylot!

You made 5 cents a post. Way good. The maddening thing is if you post 35 a day the pay will always differ. They have come up with roving blue words and the algorithym thingy that they developed is ever morphing and changing on a daily (maybe) basis. Watch over several days and you should see the true payment that they award. It is always abled to be tinkered with until pay out also!

Thank you for your response. By tinkering do you mean posts being deleted? I try to stay away from any questions that have no where to go but down hill. Meaning they get to vulgar or profanity. I don't want to waste my time posting to discussions that will possibly be deleted. I also like to respond to advise questions. But I will keep an eye on my pay. I think the thing that increased was the response to previous posts, I wonder if my responding back to everyone also adds to the pay?? Anyone know? Good luck here at mylot!

Good for you! I mostly respond to discussions. I have a few that I've started...not for a lot of responses but just things I was generally interested in.
Don't expect to make the same amount for the same number of posts though. I generally try to make 35 responses a day and the total always changes. Sometimes I wonder if when they get rid of cheaters and bad discussions if they divide their money up into all out accounts and that is why sometimes we earn more than other days?

I think it does make a difference when you reply to all of your comments. I think you get paid each time you leave a comment anywhere. Even if it doesn't count as one of your posts in your ( ). I think that's how so many people make a lot of money from not so many posts. But I don't know. I've noticed then when I respond to several other comments I seem to make more money. Not that I do it very often. I just don't know what to say to every comment! But I do think it helps. :)

Thank you for you response. I have been told before that it is always changing, strange, your observation about dividing up is a good one, I wonder the same thing. I wonder if it was also making sure that I responded to every post also and thanking everyone for responding. Does any one else think that it makes a difference to comment to all replies? I've been here for about 2 months now and the best advice, that you did not cover is to post QUALITY not QUANTITY! Do not in the rush to get in a bunch of posts go and do 100 short responses only do the 75 good responses, and please make sure that they stay on topic.

Thank you for your response. I couldn't agree more on the QUALITY not QUANTITY. I forgot to add that and your right it is a biggie. Staying on topic is a very nice way of putting it, I'm going to elaborate, don't go to a discussion and type a couple of sentences that have nothing to do with the subject at all. Your welcome. Great job! The best I ever did was $4.80 one day and I'm really not sure why I made that much, most days I average close to two dollars and I normally answer close to the same amount of posts every day. I always read the tips on how to make more. You've offered some great advice too, thanks :) We're always interested in hearing how much people are making and how they think they have arrived at that much.

Thank you for your response. Congratulations on your best day that is awesome. Is it from having a lot of referrals? I'm going to try to do the same things today as yesterday and see what happens. One of the ings that I'm wondering about is responding to all of the replys that I receive, if that has anything to do with it. Wow, $1.76 is quite a sum for responding to only 35 discussions. I must say that you are doing quite a bit of researching, and taking tips seriously. I feel that i should be learning from you. My higest was like 83 cents for posting about 30+ responese as well. I think i'll heed some of your advises. Thanks again, and happy earnings.

Thank you for your response. It actually isn't to hard, the hardest part that I find is finding discussions that fit me, I like the ones that ask for my opinion or what do you think? But more than what is the difference between 2 things if that makes sense. I'm glad to give the advise, though. Good luck here at mylot!

Really I dont have any advise but certainly feel for you , for y have done as many as 35 discussions, that is really worth the money but photos and referrals do count more and pays a lot, then ur more luckier.Hope u not only disccuss but also load with photos and that ccoulld be the quickest way to earn.

Thank you for responding. Photos at the moment aren't available to be uploaded for me as they are in the old hard drive and need to be copied to disk and loaded to new hard drive. I have uploaded some photos, and my referrals are up and down only time will tell if they stick around. Good luck to you here at mylot!

I've red so many tricks until now but it's hard to make many responses when you doesn't find something where you could make a qualitative response and I don't want to become a spammer because that could kill my account and I'm sure I wouldn't get a star if I ever make it over 100 Posts

Thank you for responding. I was feeling the same way and then another mylotter that had time on his hands suggested going through his responses to discussions for quality. You could see if there is anyone in your fiends list now that you could do that with or maybe someone that you see in all the same discussions responding. Just a couple of suggestions.
