a diary is daily written record of usually personal experiences and observations. a daily journal of what happening in your life.
i used to make my diary when i was still younger. i write every details of the day & even my secrets. but as i grew, i slowly forget to do it, i lack time from school project & as of now, from work.
but when ever i browse back with my dairy. it always bring back memories. it alwasy makes me smile, laugh & cry.
if only i still have time to do so, i will. but time wont let me.
how about you? do you still have yours?

I did always keep a diary when I was younger, then as I got a little older I changed the term to journaling. Either way I had a book that I wrote my thoghts in. Over the years I got to the point where I just stopped using the books.
I never did stop writing my feelings down, I just started using whatever paper was within my reach. Sometimes I even use napkins, and sometimes I type into the computer.
So, yes I do still take the time to write, as it really helps me to get my feelings out, and it helps me figure out answers to things that are bothering me. I have to every now and then go around and collect all the pieces of paper that I wrote on, and put them together.
I do enjoy going back and reading things I wrote because it does bring back memories, and it also makes me see where I have been and how I have grown.

There are diaries and there are journals. The way I've heard and figure it is: diaries are for more like what happened each day and nothing else, some feelings if wanted. Journals are more for feelings and doing stuff with that.
So far a diary I have been keeping one since Mid December last year EVERY night I write even for 5 mint as much as I can about what happened that day. Its a nice way to end my night before bed with writing in it.
As far as journals go, I blog online a lot at myspace and especially livejournal. I have one personal journal I havent done in a while since we moved, but its fun to do for feelings. Although I still dont completly get the difference in them :)) oh well!

The fact for me is that i did not have any in my life. I think that i do not really needed one as i am confident that i can remember things in the past when they are really needed to remember and use for the good in my own self. Greetings. : )

Writing things, recording them has always been a habbit of mine, not writing them down, it could slip my mind and I might not ever get to re-live some fun/sad/angry/great moments of life. My older sister is a writer so she always insist that I should write alot in my diary when I was younger and I still write today, its a place where I can truly open up my feelings.

When I was younger, I love keepinga diary. It is where I put all my thougths, I can say whatever I want to say, share my secrets or just a recount of how my day has been. But as I grow older, I beacme busy and was never able to keep a diary.
I started keeping ablog when I was preparing for my wedding. I post messages there, recounts of what I have accomplished, share pictures with my friends, etc. After I got married, I stil continue to keep my wedding blog. But now that I have a daugther I can't find time to write anything in my blog.

I still do but I seldom write in it anymore. Would you believe that I am using the same diary when I was still in highschool up to now (I am already working).I think i haven't halfed the diary's pages yet. I don't write on it everyday only when I feel so sad or so happy do I write on it since I don't want to forget the emotions, and the lessons I learned.

hmmm.. ever since i really dont make a daily diary but what i do is this:
i make diaries:
1. When i travel for a vacation to a new place
2. When i go on retreats
3. When there is a special activity that needs to be logged
in short, no daily activities but on "special activities" only.

Diary is like my best friend! Whenever something really bad or good that's happened for the day, I would automatically jot them down. I was cleaning my room the other week and I saw one big box where I've kept all my journals from high school till college and every page I read brought back memories and it really felt good to look back at how my life's been.
happy mylot day.

I used to have a diary during my teen years and during my early marriage..but sinceI have been quite busy with work, kids, housework..I have been too tired to jot down my thoughts. I still have my old diaries though and it does bring back old memories which I consider very important part of my life which I want to go back to.

I also kept a diary when I was younger, and it was really detailed, as in I include what we had eaten for lunch and dinner, hahah!
But then as I grew older I kinda felt like, my secrets can be exposed if someone gets hold of it, like my diary would have everything, my thoughts, my secrets and if someone happens to read it, that's the end of it. So I stopped, and just rely on my brain to do its job.
But then came the blogs, I have started a few blogs but still, I feel like I am limited for I would only write about the things that I would want people to know, but what about the secrets?
But if I can somehow be assured that no one will ever get to read that diary but myself, I would wanna have one again cause it really is fun to read it and be reminded of just how you were feeling or what things were in your thoughts in the past. You can be surprised with how you were especially when you read it like 5 or 10 years in the future.

I used to write in a diary when I was a kid and I wish I still had it; it would be fun to look through.
I started writing in a diary again after I had my first child and have written in one off and on over the years. It's a great way to let out certain emotions and also keep track of what's going on in my family's life and in the world. Not long ago I looked through one I'd written in over 15 years ago and what a blast it was to read about all the things that were going on at that time.
Another great thing about diaries is that they can hold a wealth of family history information. I have a diary that my great-grandmother wrote in over sixty years ago and it's a priceless piece of family history. It also was very helpful for me when doing genealogy research for my family.

I started journaling as a child and have continued in some form throughout out my life. I am a surviver of some pretty nasty abuse and journaling is the way I have kept at least some of my sanity.
