so its 4 am and I can't sleep. Maybe because I have so many things going on in my mind. I just need a release of some of these feelings that i have. i really do not know what is wrong with me. I feel really lazy, I do not want to go to class on monday, i dont want to go to any parties i just want to lay around. I feel as if i just lost my drive. What does this mean? what should I do to feel like my old self again? What is wrong with me? does anybody have a clue?

NO CLUES !!!!! Because I am also in the same boat.
I feel some irritation to go to office on onday. Like to just sleep, lazy.
I think this is due to the cold weather going on now. But still there are many people who are so active now. I dont know why am not one of them.

Sweetie,
-It's either a case of depression,
-seasonal affective disorder (depending on where you live and if you've been shut in and without sunlight;otherwise known as cabin fever),
-maybe a tad of self-pity(and lord knows there's nothing wrong with that now and again),
-or quite a bit of stress
Regardless of which one it is, take the day off on Monday. You've surely done worse things in your life than take a day off all to yourself just for yourself, haven't you?
Now that I think about it, maybe you haven't. I know that you feel that your family is totally your responsibility; but baby, you are young and sometimes you just have to live a little bit for you and your body/mind/emotions are telling you, "Now Is That Time". Listen to your body, little Sister. Listen to it now. If you don't take care of you today, you aren't going to be able to take care of all of the responsibilities that you have heaped on those very beautiful young shoulders of yours ~Donna

It sounds to me that you are either over stressed or just depressed. Sometimes we do get that way. We just have to find what makes us happy and that will give us our drives back to get back in the game.

Sounds to me like you're a bit depressed.
Do you get enough sunlight? It's very common for people to suffer from an energy slump in the winter due to the lack of daylight hours. If you live in a place where it's sunny try to spend some time in the light. If it's dark where you are, you may have to invest in a full-spectrum lightbulb.
Good luck.

Many people feel this way in winter and it seems to be a normal feeling.

You are experiancing depresion. All of us go through this from time to time. Some time it has to do with the weather. If it is cold...haven't seen the sun for a while....just lousy weather it will cause this in some people.
The depresion makes you loose interest in everthing. All of a suddent hings that use to be fun just aren't worth the effort.
While there are people that have crinic depresion and without medical help can never break out of this most of are blessed with not having it last all that long.
Look at what is going on in your life right now that may be worrying you. School...lost a boy friend....don't have a boy friend.....or any of a hundred things that can bring this on. Best thing that helps is talking to a close friend about it and getting advice. That is often all it takes to get a better perspective.
I do wish you well but try not to worry to much about it. A better day is coming for you right around the corner. may not feel like it but it well. Go talk to that friend.

I've been feeling the same way lately and I'm really worried about it as well..Like now, it's already 5:30 am my time and I'm still not asleep. I can try laying down in bed, but I'll just end up tossing and turning before I even get a wink's sleep. Then I end up feeling tired and depressed all day and come night time it's the same cycle all over again.

it sounds like depression. just try to force yourself to get up and do something with yourself. do something that you love doing or spend time with someone you love spending time with. being by yourself isn't going to do any good. the last thing you should do is start taking medication. you'll feel better soon enough.

One question first. Do you know what happened to cause these "feelings" that you're having? I've read a few of the other responses and I agree that it sounds like you're depressed. I had my own bout with depression and it eventually got so bad that I was forced to go see a doctor. I also have a very close friend that is currently taking Lexapro for depression and I can see an immense difference. It's really helped a lot. A lot of people don't like taking medications though. I was like that, so what I had to do was get out of the house and just go anywhere that I had good memories of. Somewhere that makes you happy and makes you feel good. If that doesn't help, you should try seeing a doctor. I hope you feel better.

Nothing is wrong with you. You just have a case of being burnt out. To many things going on at once. I used to have trouble sleeping. I would take 2 tylenol pms right around 9, it took about an hour to kick in.
For you if this keeps up, you need to see your doctor about sleeping pills that's not addicting. Your body is probably drained from not getting enough sleep. Next time you don't have to go anywhere, don't just lay around and watch tv.
For me I can fall asleep around 6 pm, but I can't with 2 kids up and running around and not in bed yet. So by the time I got them in bed, I have a 2nd wind and don't usually go to bed til around 11-12. And I have to get up around 6:15 in the morning.
If your feelings and moods do get worse, instead of going to a doctor to be put on zombie meds, try to talk to someone. It always helps to get everything out.
Hope you feel better.

I think that at some time in all of our lives we feel this way. Maybe you just need to take a break from your everyday things that is all. It is ok to feel lazy at times and perfectly fine to just want to stay home. You will feel better soon you just need something new to happen to maybe put some excitement back in you! Good Luck and God Bless!!

probably you've been working too long. Don't be too hard on yourself. When you've had enough of that moping, you'll be longing to be in the thick of all activities.

i think you need to find some meaning you would try to cling on, i have found my meaning in life, so even though i get tired i can easily make measure in finding refreshment of the body mind and soul.. its up to you to find those things, i found it with God.
