What would you do if your child said they were gay??

I would say, "Yea, and? You want a cookie?".

I would be okay with it. I'd accept my child still if they were gay. I'm sure there are lots of parents out there who would turn their backs on their children. Do you ever watch The War At Home? Their child's friend told his parents he was gay, and his parents kicked him out. I'm sure that is not uncommon.

I think I would be okay with it, they are my kids and I love them unconditionally. It was when their father came out of the closet that I lost it.

I dont have children. I would be a little disappointed that I wouldnt have grandchildren, but I would love all my children, and could never turn m back on them. Being gay, if that is the way my son chooses to live his life, and that makes him happy, then my only fear for him would be to find a loving, devoted and commited partner. And that they are both happy with one another.

I imagine the response to be something like, 'that's nice dear. have you cleaned your room like i asked you?'

Well hopefully my child would already know that it wouldn't matter to be whether they were straight or not, and that they could tell me without fear or worry..:)

If my child came to me and said they were gay, at first I would probably be mad. After getting over that, I would have to accept it. I have many gay friends and they are all very nice and have been better friends to me than my straight friends. Their parents accept it, and I would also.

If my son told me that he's gay, I will probably tell him to think about it first, and that maybe he is just confused or something but if he really is gay, then I will accept him for who he is since he is my son.

To be honest, it wouldn't be my first choice for him just because I think it would be a harder life for him b/c society isn't so accepting. I wouldn't care though. You love who you love. I feel that you can't help who you love and as a parent you need to love and accept your child and their decisions in life. You might not always agree with everything but they are their own person.

Try to carry out a campaign for awareness

I would talk to him and if i get no result i send him to street. ( joking) If i get no result from talking, i let him be in his way.
