phorie Two is a decent amount. I think more than 2 would depends on the size of the house/how many people. There's probably some equation in that, people in the house vs size vs 'what would the neighbours think' and money considerations as well =)

phorie There are definitely worse things to be called than shy. Maybe he said it because you didn't make eye contact, or you speak quietly. Who knows. I wouldn't be worried about it though.

phorie Yeah I saw them at Festival hall. Sweat pit was definitely the word. When I finally got pulled out of the mosh my shirt was soaked and it mostly wasn't my sweat (ew! ^-^)

phorie My niece hated her potty, so her parents just got her straight onto the toilet. It was easier because she knew everyone else went to the toilet and she wanted to be a big girl. Good luck =)

phorie I agree with not letting kids wear make up, but if it's only tinted lip balm there's nothing wrong there. It's good to take care of your lips. I think that the sister not only over-reacted but she certainly shouldn't have disposed of the confiscated item....

phorie I was lucky, my school allowed pants just before I started. It got quite cold in winter also, and we weren't allowed to stay indoors. Of course most girls still wore skirts because the uniform pants were horrid. Knee high socks became very popular.

phorie I don't think there's anything wrong with it, so long as the girls aren't upset by it. If it does look inappropriate rather than just innocent, maybe it would be best to step in, or to speak to him mother (if you're on speaking terms).
