I cook. My husband rarely cooks. Although, right now he's making chili for dinner tonight since he wanted it and he's home from work. Usually I cook because he really can't cook. He can make the chili because it is all ready to go, he just has to throw it in the crockpot.
Since he cooked dinner I'll be doing the dishes tonight but usually I cook and he does the dishes.
Its not really something we talk about, I love to cook and he thinks its only fair he does the dishes when I cook.

He does 90 percent of the cooking. One reason is because he loves to cook and I don't. Another reason is that he is a better cook than me. I clean up the kitchen and wash the dishes - which is fair - but something tells me that even if I was doing the cooking - I would still be doing the cleaning too!

Lol. Happens to us too sometimes. We sort of go around in circles depending on whats happening. There are times when he takes the bulk of the load, cooking, cleaning etc and there are other times when I do. But generally it all works out.

I do the cooking in the house. We just moved in together and I'm just selling my house (to get rid of other relatives) and then we'll see how our arrangements would be by then. Although, I predict that I would do the cooking and then she'll do the cleaning. As for laundry, it's equal share.

I'm lucky enough to have a husband who likes to cook. Unless I'm busy with our baby, I usually get in there and help him. It's fun to spend the time in the kitchen together. It seems like things get done quickly when we work as a team.

No we do not stress about that. My wife does the cooking.....she likes to eat something worth eating....and I clean up afterward.
Of course there are only the two of us so that helps. And then there is always the restaurant. We haven't seemed to forget where that is yet.

We also don't have a fixed routine. More often than not, my boyfriend does the cooking at suppertime. I have three children and it is part of their chores to wash and dry the dishes after supper. Mostly I do the breakfast and lunches and he does supper, however I don't stress out on the nights I have to cook. So long as a meal gets made, it doesn't matter to me who cooks it. But it is really nice when he does it :)

The first few years of our marriage, we didn't have a househeld help, we just have a friday girl who do general cleaning, laundry and ironing of clothes so the usual day after office...is me (the wifey)arrrghh does everything, but I'm just happy to do that for him, probably because if he's the one who does the cooking and the dishwashing, I might have to do it all over again LOL...sometimes though, he cooks...he's very good with steaks and i'm not so but still, he would leave the cooking area all messed up, made me think, I should just have cooked the dinner LOL

At home, my wife usually does the cooking, but there are times when I feel like I want to cook, and just tell her to just watch tv or do something else that she likes while I prepare dinner. I also like cooking, I usually do this on weekends, when I don't have work and time to share with my family. I really like it when they enjoy the food I have prepared for them. I really recommend it to guys out there.

Welcome to Mylot and to the superwoman club. The people who you cook for look great enough to warrant the effort. Cheers!

Well i am a man and if i have to cook i don't have any problem with it. I am lazy and not a great cook, but i can assure you i can cook well enough.
It's a shame that nowadays many many many men, and a growing number of women too don't even know how to boil an egg!! lol
Oh well it's worse for them i believe.
