I would say we all have computers but do you have more than one at home?

Do you have more than just one computer you share with the family or is their just the one?
We have two computers here. One is my business computer and touch that and you are in big trouble with me, but we also have a second one, we just don't have it connect to the net at this time.

I have, let me think, about 7-8 computers. Some of them is ready-to-use but some of them are in parts. I have so many because I really love computers and I like to fix them. The one I use the most is my IBM Laptop, and the second most used is also an IBM, but that's a NetVista with Linux installed.

They can be a ton of fun and I use to have them all over the place when I was teaching and a techie. Now I have given away all the extras I had here to a friend that is taking up where I left off when I retired.
I will eventually, within a year, need to setup another system for my wife as she is about to retire and we will both be working online.

I have a 160 Gig hard drive, a CD burner and a DVD burner.
I have a 128 MB video card and 512MB of RAM, which I plan to upgrade to 1 Gig and I would like to get a new video card also.
I just got a new 20" LCD monitor to replace my huge 20 inch monster I had previously, way too big for my desk.
I use Windows XP Pro right now.

We have two computers. One is mine, since I spend the most time online. I used to be a busy ebay merchant, so no one was allowed to use my computer to ensure that it was always available for me to work. The other is used by my husband and the kids. They share it pretty well, the only major time conflicts for them being on Sundays when my husband has the day off. Both computers are located in our dining room.

I haven't been selling for a while. Buyers on ebay have become scarcer than hen's teeth, so I stopped. I found that I couldn't seem to sell items for more than my (very low) opening bid, so it was no longer worthwhile.
For a long time, I sold used video games and video game systems.

We have three desktops and two laptops that are used consistently in the house. I use one desktop and one laptop, my husband uses another desktop and the laptop, my toddler uses the other desktop. We have others and parts galore because it's my husband's hobby, but they're not set up for use.

I house has evolved with the computer world. You can see an old Intel 386, a Pentium II, Athlon 64, and a Core 2 Duo if you visit my home. Me and my dad both are computer engineers and our enthusiasm is responsible for this. But every one PC is dearer for us. The 386 is still working without a hassle though it is more than 15 years old. So are the others. I have emotional attachments with each of them, except the Core 2 Duo, which is the newest member. 386 was the PC in which I learned the basics and programming, so are the PII and Athlon. Right now I am typing from my Athlon. I am an AMD fan and amazingly the 386 has an AMD processor.

As a computer hardware/software instrutor our place was like that also, until I had my heart attack. Then I became very limited in what I can do but I loved it for many years.
Now I use my computer to earn my living online and leave the lifting and techie stuff to others. I still take care of my own PC but there isn't much to do for maintenance.
Great that you are so involved keep up the great job.

I have a PIV system in my house and i think it is fast getting outdated. It is the only Pc i have and i dont have any ideas of buying one in the near future. My next purchase would surely be a laptop and not a desktop computer. My system is a PIV system with 256MB RAM and 40GB Hard disk. It is pretty good for all my purposes and i love my system very much because i typed out my first resume over this system only.
