I too haven't tried Windows Vista till now and just heard about it from friends. I am in no hurry to try it. I am pretty comfortable with my Windows XP Service Pack 2 edition and will continue with it till I get market report about Windows Vista and then I will decide whether to go for it or continue with my older one. Another thing, I think I will have to get a new notebook to have Vista on it as it will be very difficult for me to upgrade this one. Vista has great system requirements!

Windows vista has loads of graphics that experience great look, also it is secure than xp...you will wonder if you
try to copy a file to 'c' drive it fails due to its security
setting. You need special permissions to do performs some tasks. You can try it...try installing it on an other drive
by making your computer a dual boot system so that you can
evaluate it and do normal works on xp until you grab it well.

I have heard that Vista has had a lot of crashes. I don't know much about it other than that though. I think I will stick with XP for a while. Not to mention that it is very expensive.

vista is a far better version than xp in windows in ever respect like updated and bettter softwares, antiviruses and media files but it is recommended only if ur p.c has a minimum of 512mb RAM and its even better if RAM is 1 gb. it shoul have a p4 configuration. thanks

I do not think that we have tried that one just yet. So, sorry I can not help you there at this time.

I have not tried it. I can always use my Mac or Vista transformation pack for cool look. I have updated XP sp2 with a proper antivirus and antispyware, so I am reasonably secure.
Why should I change from XP?

Experts in the media say that they love Vista, but that nobody should upgrade, especially if your computer isn't practically brand new - It is a very demanding OS. My mom just bought a new computer with Vista on it... I can't wait to go visit her and check it out!

Yes I got it. It is a DVD. not Single Cd like Old windows versions. Amazing Graphics and When i saw the Graphics i thought it will be Slower in my machine. But to my Surprise it is Twice Faster than Windows XP. More features. Problems i found are Minimum 1GB RAM needed. [ But it works good in 512 RAM; i tried.] And Softwares are not available for Vista. So i Came back to Windows XP so that I can Continue my Works in Designing and Programming.

I'm interested in getting the new windows vista. But I've heard that it doesn't work with some applications. The Itunes program doesn't work well with vista but say it will be fixed in the coming weeks. I'm going to wait and make sure all the bugs are fixed before purchasing it.

Is your computer powerful enough to run Vista?
The different between Vista and Xp are the interface(aero), different system and security. The most important is Vista use much more resource than XP.
I think it will be better to see if Vista already more stable. But Vista already better than XP, then if u want to try it now, it's worthed.

They are having alot of problems. It won't let you play alo of games online and thy aren't sure what else. They are working on it but they said it would be a while before they get it fixed. I would stick to xp for a while.

Microsoft Vista has launched at our area. So, for me... eventhough they say it has bugs, i'm still going for Vista cuz as i tried it, it's good to use and it is better than XP. No matter what type of windows that you are using, go for it for as long as you know how to use it, when to use it and knowing to use it everyday. But XP Home and Professional are still okey as OS nowadays.

i would wait for like 1 or 2 more years. From what i noticed, the main differences are the interface and that it uses directx 9. And its kinda expensive now so i would wait for the price to go down. Also, because its so new, it probably has a few bugs that need to be fixed.
Remember when XP came out it had so many bugs?
