Got my hundreth post but only a three rating.

Not bad! You just started yesterday and you already came up with 100? Hey, be proud of yourself! Okay, about the star rating. Looking at your script above, I can say that it's good. When I got my first 100 (I think on my 3rd day), I got a 5 rating. Sharing with you my experience, I usually posted 2 new discussions (with 3 responses each at the most -- hehe), and about 20 responses to discussions per day. My star rating kept on going up a notch per day (I've only been here a week). Now, I have a 9. I do believe that quality is important here (irregardless of grammar and typo errors). You have to contribute to myLot community by posting at least 4 meaningful sentences that answer the topic. Your star rating is usually being based on how the others view you here. If others see that you answer well, they give you a (+) next to your response. They could even choose you for "best response" and that adds up to your reputation and earnings. You can check out my ID if you want so that you could have an idea how I would answer some questions. I already have a lot of "best responses" so you may wanna check that out. I would like to be of help. I know you need only a little to improve. You might be even better than me! Happy myLotting!

I gave you a little plus on each of your posts just now to try and help out ;) mine started low, too. Don't worry too much about it. I'm pretty sure you won't see the change in your star rating until MyLot updates the post count, so look tomorrow and see if it's gone up. Congrats on 100 posts!

just keep on writing and practice more. i am not good in english too, but i am trying to practice we need more and more practice to make our english perfect, do not worry about your star rating, just go on and stay active..goodluck

Don't worry, everyone starts at low. If you are really concerned about your star rating, you might want to stay clear of discussions with too much controversy.

No, not bad I think that's about right from what I've seen. The more you respond with quality comments the higher you will get. I have been stuck at 9 for a couple days now but figure to get 10 you have to be nearly perfect so not worrying about it.

This is what I think. I saw a post a little while ago that had something to do with this. If you have good quality and quantity posts, then that is a great start to it. I think it has to do with the amount of "+" ratings you have recieved. If you don't know what I am talking about, it is the thing next to your post that has a "+" or a "-". I think if people give you "-" then it will start out slow like yours, but I am not entirely sure. That is just what I think is how your star rating is based on.

I get the feeling that some of the members here are not giving justified ratings for some of the posts, but I guess that happens with this rating system.

you are doing really well... as i see, your rating is not 3 but 8 and you just join yesterday... that is really incredible... i join much longer than you but i only got rating 9... so you are doing really really well... keep up the good work...

I think that you are worrying about nothing. Also you are not a bad writter. You are like anybody else here. So you dont have to worry. Just keep writting here and earnong money. At last i dont think that points are so important.

I have completed 350 posts but I am still on 3 rating, I don't know what the mylot administrators want, what is the standard of their rating, I have participated more healthy topics, positive discussions, but I could not success to increase my rating. God knows better, what the mylot administrator wants.

Your rating is 8 now so you have been rewarded for your performance. 100 posts a day is a very good achievement. To improve , just don't go for replying to 100 discussions , you may even answer to 10 but take your time , think over the question , do some research if necessary and then answer. I normally post 10 responses and make 30 cents for that , so its all about the quality of the posts. Hope this is of any help :-)

Know you proven your worth as a good member just enjoy the forum and try to keep the things you are doing and always look for a quality discussion and your star will shine the brightest and besides no matter what star you are it is the sensible answer that matter's most. Wow - you've only been doing this for one day, and you've already gotten a rating and hundredth post? I think that you shouldn't feel bad at all! If you can accomplish all that in a day, I don't think you'll have any problems getting to the top rating in no time at all. Best of luck to you!

Thats not bad, my number yesterday was 4, today its up to I believe 7. You'll be able to copy and paste once you reach 500. You can improve your rating by checking your spelling and grammar and making your posts and responses quality ones. Try to avoid one and two line responses or leaving responses that don't make sense or contribute to the discussion. When you respond to someone's post be sure to rate it, and when people respond to your posts be sure to rate their responses. Also be sure to pick a "best response" to each post that you make. Good luck and try not to get down about your rating, it can always go up!

don't worry about your rating mssnow. i tell you the rating system in mylot is not serving its purpose. some people may just give you negative rating just because your ideas don't match their opinions, or just because they don't like you, or for no reason at all they can give you a negative rating. Some get lucky because no matter how nonsense their discussions are they get positive ratings from other users who are their friends. Some users who are making quality responses, on the contrary may get negative ratings. That's how the rating system works. It does not mean that low star rating means low quality at all. so cheer up! just keep posting quality discussions.

i think as you have just now got the rating, its only 3. it will increase by time as you progress. U try to post new things and go on replying to discussions, it will increase.

Don't be mad. Try to make a quality posts and responses. I have also a little earning though I posted many and my response reached about 300. I also wonder because my star is 9 or 8 but the money I earn is too little. Maybe because I have not uploaded photos.

I'm in the same condition too... Ive been here for 1 and a half week and have still not earned even 1$.... Can someone help me out plz.....

Congrats firstly on your 100th post, and a 3 star rating is better than a 2 star rating, so congrats on that too! I ain't exactly sure what the rating thing implies, does it help at all?? ANyone know?? lol. And if you have 100 posts in one day, then you are doing great. And your grammar and english seem fine. I am English, and mine is just as bad as anyone else's on here. I think that's because we are getting wrapped up in the sms culture where we shorthand everything to make our texts cheaper. haha.
