Thanks. Yeah, I've never been a little dog fan and always had big dogs like labs. But I love all animals so it's not really a surprise she's got my heart so quick! lol I feel like a new mom, bragging about my little cutie! lol

Oh yours is a sweetie too. I'm amazed at how much I just love this little bugger! LOL Today she proved she's a crazy puppy by jumping up onto my bed to be with me, even though the distance is a good 10 of her!!!! LOL She found a way to climb a stool, to a chair, down to a bag next to the bed to the bed itself. It was so cute to see her so determined that she should be with me! I'll keep you in mind if she ever becomes "homeless"... but I have high doubts! lol

Oh he's already jealous... gives me the evil eye... EVEN if I'm petting HIM while holding her. I make up for it when my daughter comes home to take her baby and him and I snuggle in bed like always! LOL It's worse then a dang husband!!!!!! LOL

There are so many dogs out there that are so deserving of a good home. It's sad to see so many left to die. It's truly one of the reasons why I do not hesitate to have my dogs spayed and neutered. There's no reason to keep creating more and more when there are so many that die for no reason.

aww...what a sweet story. We adopted a black lab from the pound 2 or 3 years ago and he was on his last days there. He'd been there the longest--4 months. He is the sweetest dog too.

Will do and i know what you mean i also have a pom pom and you know it amazes me that she is soooooo calm around her and that is not the norm for pom poms but the down side is that she has seizures caused by hyeoglycemia soo we get vet bills in the masses but she is worth every penny ...

I'm so thankful. My daughter works in a vets office as an intern for her high school co-op, she's in pre-vet. God willing, she will become a vet and maybe for the first time ever we can afford to truly take care of these animals we seem to inherit! LOL But I agree... they're worth the price!

Oh, the tea cup chichi's are soooooooo tiny! I'm amazed at them for sure! My sister had one, but had to give it back to the breeder for fear her big ol' stupid chocolate lab would crush it. He seemed oblivious to her being there and actually came close to laying on her! I was glad to see she had the brains to take the tiny little thing back instead of risking injury! Give your princess a big smooch from Corona!

Originally we thought we would be gettting Corona Rose on the 14th but she was ready to come now. The breeder, a friend that my daughter works with, was just a little slow at "letting go" and told us 14th just to "be safe" LOL Is Bella mixed with lab? She has a face and ears somewhat lab like. Wow, that would be a trick wouldn't it? Lab and chichi? LOL I'm not "up" on breeds and types but I think someone mentioned ours looked like an "apple head" chihuahua. I'm not sure what the papers will say and we never really asked. We were just taken by her beauty! LOL Enjoy your new little one and tell Gizmo that Bella runs a close 2nd but Gizmo is one of a kind! (gotta keep them happy and un-jealous)!

Sssssh... don't tell the daughter that I love the little rat just as much! lol She's in love and while she's gone at school, Corona and I are bonding! When she sleeps over at friends' houses and such Corona needs someone to keep her snuggled!!! Right?! LOL

Thanks... she's regressing a bit with her potty training. She came and was pretty good with hitting the papers but all of a sudden she's just going wherever! I'm not 100% sure on how to work with a dog this size. My big ones I've crated and crate trained for the bathroom needs! I'm home most all the time now so it's a bit different and I wouldn't put her in if I'm here. Plus it's too cold to show her the yard each accident so the papers get used. I'm not real sure on this one! lol

I totally understand.. I used to feel the same way.. just not my cup o' tea! But I have to admit... she has me hook line and sinker! lol

LOL.. she eats her weight in food daily! That's the kewl part... no matter how much she eats.... she's never gonna get too big to carry! I call chihuahuas mexican rats. As I said in my original post, I was never a huge fan... would never hurt any animal but they weren't my faves by any means. When my daughter got her I was certain I wouldn't be overwhelmed with love. Yeah, well that took all of 2 seconds! lol

LOL... I've always been a big dog fan too. I can honestly say... had she not been able to steal my heart in person I'd be doubtful she could persuade me that these "little rats" are so cute either! But beware.. if one slips into your life.. you are doomed! LOL

Well they're not for everybody. To each his own. I find her so sweet and adorable that I'm amazed by her!

Our lab is so funny. We call him the whimp. He likes to pretend he's big and tough but is the biggest wuss on 4 legs! lol When Corona comes even NEAR him he runs to me hiding! LOL I'm not sure why, if it's that she's quick and he's just worried he can hurt her or what but he wants NO part of her. The funny part is, now that she's been here a few days she is DYING to meet him face to face and he just runs!

Wow, that's an awesome deal. They are quite fragile though so you may want to wait until CJ gets a little older. I don't recommend them to anyone with small kids, simply because they have no clue how fragile they really are! And, when they're pups they are just like human babies in that they have a 'soft spot' on their head that you must be careful of. I can't remember any of my bigger dogs ever having that, but I may be wrong.

She was $400, and that's really a bargain for a registered one. There are breeders all over and you are best off going to a chihuahua breeder locally, near you.
