Nice house or nice car?

I know some people who live in very small, ugly houses but have really nice cars, and vice versa. If you could choose to live in a nice house and have a bomby car, or live in a small, not so luxurious house but have a nice car, what would you choose?

i would rather to have a nice house, because right now i live in a trailer and yes it is nice, but i need something a little bigger and i want my own land. i have a fairly nice car because my car was about to poop out on me so last october i got a used jeep liberty.

for me it's a no brainer! i would live in a very nice house. a house is where you live and spend time, creat memories. you don't do any of that in a car.

Why not have both and spring for one of those posh RV's that cost $800,000? Some of them are nicer than hotel rooms, have full kitchens, king sized beds, an annex that slides out the side, wireless internet access and all the perks of a home only it's mobile. The first million I make here at myLot (everyone join me for a hearty laugh on that one) that's what I am buying.

Well I prefer to be neutral. I would definitely want a nice house and a nice car. It does not mean that the car and the house have to be very expensive. I would buy both. I'll keep in mind what i need and how much money i have to spend on these so as not to diturb my budget. Buying a mid segment car and a house in a decent locality is fine. It does not matter if the car is small, if it is maintained well then it would look as good as any other luxurious car. And a small house which is done up well and kept neat and tidy is as good as a lavish bunglow. It should suit your comfort.

I don't have a car but I do own my own house. I would love to have a car again, but I can't afford it at the moment, and I would much rather be investing in my mortgage and have a house at the end of it than buying a car that will eventually break down and I will have to get rid of it.
