ok!. so we have online friends which we interact with everyday or from time to time through cyberspace and we have real life friends which we see in person.
what can you say about them?.like which do you prefer?. and those things.. can you give the distinctions and who do you think knows more about you, the online friends or the real life friends?. because in my case the online friend that i have knows more about the things in my love life because they do not really know me in person.. and so i can be safe from gossip in my area.. how about you?.

I prefer to have to both.. It's a great thing to have a friend online because sometimes their are things that you would only share to someone who doesn't know you personally.

i talk to my friends online more than i talk to people in person. i don't have many friends in person. it's hard for me to trust people and i prefer to just be alone most of the time. i think my online friends know much more about me than my real life friends. i feel the same as you as far as gossip and things go.

Yeah, I know what you mean -- I tend to speak to the people I 'know' online more than the people I know in real life -- it's hard to trust 'real' friends sometimes, especially when there's something you feel you can't tell them.

i have quite a few virtual friends and some real friends. when i say FRIENDS it means friends in the true sense and not acquaintances. many a times we kinda confuse between friendship and acquaintances.
patrice, what you have said is perfectly true, for even i feel i can confide in the more intricate details of my life, even the clandestine stuff to my online friends. i donot have any reservations unlike my real life friends, whom i really value. however, it's adiscrepancy on my part not to able to talk out my heart to all of them.
here, i must tell you something, with the world changing to E-world, i wouldn't be surprise to know ppl with more virtual friends and less or NO real ones. and dear, don't you see both us heading towards an honest online friendship.
friendship rocks !!

I do not have any friend on internet. I do not actually want a friend. At times I had uncountable friends I myself either could not able to count them. But they all ruined my life beyond my imagination. Since that time I don't like to make friends as all friends is for their own sake. Having friend is the biggest immatureness of life, always remeber human came in this world alone and He'll even go alone in his grave then why he need to have a friend? I dont believe in these friends and all. I regret for writing this all!

I talk to both on a daily basis. My online friends via the internet and my "home" friend on the phone.
I'd say they both know as much about me as the other as I'm a pretty open book.

I think both the online firends and the friends in everyday are important to me.we meet our old friends in daily life and have chat with them when we meet, and we make new friends though the internet chat which brings us surprise and interesting storys.

I definitely prefer real life friends over online friends who don't know me. I'm not an easy person to understand given my quirks and all; but real friends who've been with me for several years now definitely accept me in spite of who I am. Online friends are good to keep, for exhange of information, and extending business networks.

I always try to find and meet all my online friends. So sometimes some of them be my best friend untill now. I like both of them. Online friends always make me fresh because sometimes they always give me good news and many experience. But I need real friends too. So... I do both of them.

Online friends are better to keep out of personal life unless they become real life friends. Our personal life is very sacred for each of us individually... and online friends are something like... you know the voice... the face... and nothing more than that.. not the nature... not the attitude... BECAUSE :
ITS EASY TO MANIPULATE YOUR NATURE ONLINE BUT NOT POSSIBLE IN REAL LIFE !!

My real life friends know tonnes more about me than any online friend could! Although I have met some pretty good friends online that have become my real life friends too! There's a good mixture cause with your online friends normally everything is happy and friendly, where your real life friends tend to turn to you more with their personal problems!

I just started 5 days ago here in myLot but I was also involved in another discussion forum. I may not know personally my on-line friends, but I'm overwhelmed whenever someone posted themselves to be included as my friends group. It really depends on how much you would like to share yourself to online friends. I chose to be as honest as possible with all my answers. I can even detect the kind of persona they have based on their response here. Just be yourself and enjoy all your online friends.

i agree with your opinion.i think the most important thing is do not mix up onlne friends and real life friends.
we can communicate with online friends for everything, but the precondition is keep distance.online friends could just keep online, can not bring into your real life.

I prefer real friends than online friends..my real friends know more about me,and they are here for me whenever i have problems which an online friend can't do..i can see them personally and have fun with them..real is real..

Well i dont share everything with my online friends but more than that my real friends know about me. Actually i dont have much to share because nothing fascinating happens with me. It is the same repeated life everyday and just see the same faces.
All about technicals and less about personal life so nothing to hide or show up. So that my real friends know more about me than my online friends.

Great idea of treating online friends, What if one of your friends in your area is also in the net? lol. However online friends can share you great ideas like making money. here is a site free to join and earn as much as .05 dollars per post, check it out

A very exceptionally good comparison..... But then one should know a person, in person, to be able to understand, feel the emotions, the sorrows,
In what way one would describe friend, me , for me its too confusing ... cause as life goes, time goes, strategies changes, thoughts changes.... I would in particular go in for a real friend, cause one is attached emotionally to the one, theres real emotions, but as far as online ones, no i dont think so.... theres too less attachment, so ...... but there are " BUTS, Though" And more i believe the real ones know more, cause they have every insight about you.. they know ur movement .....
The bottom line online are online , real ones are in the true sense real........
Cause Lastly what do FRIENDS mean...........Is there a one definition.........

I can't say that online friends are better than real life friends or the contrary, because all they are important to me. The most important thing is the quality of our relationships, a real life friend could seem better than online one, but if the quality of our relationship is low it could be better an honest online friend, even if I can't see his/her eyes or hear his/her voice.
When I read a message or a discussion I don't see only a cold monitor with some letters on, but the thought of the person who wrote it, I can "feel" his/her fears or joys while he/she was writing it. That's very important to me.

I like both. I can be friend with anyone. but you know there is the different thing between real life friends and online friends for me. I think real life friends are more close to me. We could hang out together and talk almost everything together but online friends are not that real close. Yeah, we can talk each other but not the real important thing or things like I can talk to my close friends you know what i meant? and real life friends and me we have known each other so well beside online friends - -* nah just superficial.
