How LUCKY are you?

i don't know if you call this luck or what,but i 'd like to share my story that occured just yesterday.someone calledme to say that our phone number hasbeen electronically chosen as a winner. they said they were able to get ourphone number from our receipts when we bought appliances since 1990 til present.they gave me control number,and the place where i can claim my "prize",they told me it "may" be a tv,cellphone,microwave,personal alarm or washing machine,tempting isn't it? so i went to the shop,they toldme that the control number given to me was entitledfor a personal alarm(eh?that's it?) AND i get to pick a prize.when they told me that, i felt that it was just a scam,but i still pickjust to know how it really works and they really are persistent.JACKPOT!!! i won a 23 pcs. cookware and a massager that they told me cost almost P:149,000,who wouldn't be happy with that?so they told me that i have to talk to their branch manager so that she can congratulate me.so after that "TALK" we had,they did'nt let me go,and when i heard their conversation,thesales person was confirming the manager the conditions,turns out that i may claim the prize IF i will purchase ANY OF THE PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS they have.why on earth would i buy a ionizer/humidifier/aromatherapy worth Php43,900???so i told them i will not buy that ,they still insisted that it is only once in a lifetime opportunity and that i can purchase it by credit card,which i don't agree since my primary reason is just to get the so-called prize.they won't let me go so i decided to call my husband so that someonecan back me up on my decision not to buy.how can i resist theire offer if they are 7 who is trying to make me believe how LUCKY i am to win those prize.if that wasluck then why would i have to buy something worth PHP43,900?as far as this thing is concerned, i don't think it's luck , i think it's pure scam!they would persuade you to buy stuff and will tell you that you're lucky enough to win so many prizes so the least i can do to claim the "Prize" is to buy another appliance? no way!! luck has no price it may be a prize but itshould not be pricedsoplease beware of this so called luck!

Aaaaw I so envy people who are lucky like that--those who win in Bingo all the time, those whose names always get drawn in raffles, etc, coz I'm not one of those :( Of course at some point in my life I've won already, but those things can be credited to pure hard work and putting my blood sweat and tears into that endeavor, not by pure luck. Sometimes Im even unlucky in that I still dont win despite all the hard work I've put into something. But it's all good. I've got good friends, a good loving family, and good food and good music to turn to. In that aspect, I'm one of the luckiest people alive. :)

I am lucky in other things (love and marrige, but probably not being counted here) but when it comes to lottery, raffle or slot...not that lucky. But my husband is very lucky when it comes to that. We usually go to an Ameristar casino to just eat at their buffet (the best buffet there is), we eat then we stroll around no plans in gambling. Usually, I will be the one who wants to play the slots with just a $20 limit and my husband says no. But then am too afraid to spend my 20...i let my husband play for it. First and 2nd play, he usually wins 400. We get the money and leave. This happens everytime we go eat at the casino. But one thing that struck me is that my husband doesn't like to gamble at all...lol. I guess am just so thankful with that part. He got the luck but doesn't want to exploit it at all.

I don't considr myself to be lucky, however other people think that I'm lucky. Last year I won $10,000 on line gambling. A couple of years before that I won 3 out of 4 times in a eek at a casino where I brought home no less than $1,200. The month before my daugter was born they opened a casino by my house and I went the second night it opened and brought home $3,400. Everytime I pulled the handle I rubbed my belly, I say it was my daughter on that one that was the lucky charm. Their for awhile when I went to bingo I either won at bingo or on a pull tab and sometimes both. So I don't know maybe I am lucky at times. What do you think? :)

I don't think I'm particularly lucky. It's not a special power or trait or ability. If it happens, good for me; if not, better luck next time. I did win in our company Christmas party raffle twice, and I won an iPod in one of those, but that's the extent of my luck in raffles. If it were an ability, I'd develop it with all my might, so I can get rich quick by winning lotteries as often as possible. :)

Well I haven't won the lottery but someone from my town has. He had bought this lottery ticket from the gas station when he went out to get milk for his dad. A few weeks later he forgot about this ticket in his wallet. After this they went on vacation and he was buying things his wallet fell on the floor and he noticed he had forgotten about his lottery ticked and he wanted to know if had won or not so he went online and checked the numbers and he noticed he had just won the lottery. Lucky him.

When I was a kid and entered compotition I was very Lucky I've won a Bike, super nintendo and Hampers. I can't think of anything I've won lately as an adult on a few dollars on scratchy tickets No big Bucks, but I'm not much of a gambler... I still consider myself Lucky though, somedays I feel real positive about things and then it will work out the best for me..

i consider myself lucky. why? because i have peace of mind, i have a happy and peaceful marriage. and most of all i am debit free... i never won in a lottery or draw... but i am contented with my life now... goodluck,,,

I am always unlucky. I've neven won contests like that. Most of the time, I don't join because I know I don't win anyway. I know the more raffles the more chances of winning, and you never know right? I know what you will say. I am just pessimistic about raffle draws I think.

i am somewhat lucky but not that lucky. if i don't mind if i win or not and i just don't mind it and i am having fun, that is where i usaually win but if i try to use total concentration and hoping to win, i don't!

I am quite lucky! I have never won raffle draws because I seldom join. I remember winning on BINGO when my mom and I played back in the Philippines. I also won BINGO here with my boyfriend. I also have won on slot machines from casinos. The most that I have won $500 only, not bad if I only put $5. I also have won some money on scratchers. I don't really gamble but when I do, I'm a little lucky!

If i was in a plane crash id probly be the only killed.....so do that explain how lucky i am?..lol

I know someone who wins things all the time. Too bad he cant win the big one. I have one a few things in my life time. I won tickets to a restaurant once. That was nice treat. Another time I won a barbecue set. Thats lasted a few years. It was really nice to have. I won a bike for my son one year for Christmas. I was happy about that. But as far as big money or anything I haven't won. I am trying for the HGTV dream house. I have tried for five years now. Its about my turn i think. I have entered raffles before, but have never won one yet, perhaps I should change my profile picture ........... lol I used to do the UK lottery, I have never had a big win from it but have had the odd resonable small win :o) I do however competitions on a regular basis and do win, sometimes. As for the prizes, nothing major like a car or a holiday but some nice prises all the same. I don't consider myself to be extremely lucky when it comes to winning but a little more luckier than some. However in life I consider myself to be extremely lucky as I have a nice husband and a lovely family, more than I could hope for.

I donot try too much for these type of lotteries or raffles as most of times i have not got these even then i think myself very lucky because i have everything that one needs to spend a good life , a good family and a business too. I t is the most important thing is that my parents have given me the name "LUCKY"

I think if you want to win anything from raffles or games of chance like the lottery, you must first join them. Just look at the old man who recently won the highest jackpot prize in the US lottery. As for me, I consider myself a bit lucky because I won twice in the lottery I've joined in.

I used to be really jealous of people who I considered lucky, for example got their dream job, found nice things on sale, you name it. This until I read an article in an scientific magazine about luck, where it was explained that people that are open for opportunities are those that are given the oppertunities. For example, I can be jealous at someone who wins something but if I don't even buy a lotteryticket how could I win? How could I get a great deal at an apartment if I don't call 50 places to ask what they have, like my friend who got the place did? So to be lucky we need to do more things and take more chances.

I have luck at times, me and my mum go on tombolas when we see them and more often than not I will win something and she doesn't. I have won other things too, I won a competition in the local paper a few years ago, answered the question correctly and won a chicken run t-shirt. I won 4 tickets to Pleasure Island in cleethorpes (never used them though or got rid of them :( ). I went to Mecca Bingo with my boyfriend and his parents for the first time the other month and won £15.

I am probally moderately lucky. I win some I lose some. But my uncle and his family are insane with the luck. Next to every one of the lottery tickets for $1 and the like they buy from stores, seem to win. It's crazy, and I wish it was like that for my family.
